My Little Pony Season Finale, HubBub Chat & More
This Saturday, May 11th the season finale of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic Season 4 is going to premiere on the Hub Network and let me use the words that Tara Strong (voice of Twilight Sparkle) used to describe it – AWESOME! Thanks to my friends at the Hub Network and my exclusive membership in the Hub Club I was able to get an early copy of the two part season finale and I have to agree with both Tara and Meghan the two part finale was EPIC and PONY-FIRIC! Last week I got a super awesome package in the mail and it contained a whole lot of pony surprises.
When I opened up the box it was filled with lots to pony confetti. I am still seeing hearts of Pinkie Pie and Twilight Sparkle. The package included a Flip & Whirl Rainbow Dash courtesy of Hasbro, a DVD with the two part season finale and an awesome opportunity to visit a Build A Bear Workshop to make my own My Little Pony. I was super excited. I hide the Rainbow Dash and I plan to gift it to my daughter for her birthday because she’s a huge MLP fan. We watched the dvd that afternoon after she did her homework. We watched it at least four times that night and we still watch it every few days. It was jaw-dropping good. I don’t want to post any spoilers for fans, I am just going to share some details from the press release.
My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic Twilight’s Kingdom Part 1 & 2:
Princess Twilight Sparkle continues to struggle with her identity as a princess and her role as the newest member of Equestrian royalty. When Princess Celestia has a premonition about a mysterious evil foe from the past and turns to an unlikely source for help, Twilight Sparkle feels extra pressure to prove her worth.
In hopes that it will provide some insight as to the kind of princess she is meant to be, Twilight Sparkle focuses her attention on opening the chest that was given to her by the Tree of Harmony. Secrets are revealed and mysteries are unraveled as all of Equestria joins forces to stop this new threat.
In these two episodes we see so much happen it’s ridiculous. Princess Twilight is upset about her role so far as a princess. She notes how all the other royalty has huge responsibilities and she feels like she’s just there for “show”. Little did she know how much it would change in a very short time. Discord returns and he’s going to shake things up and put the ponies trust in him to the test. Remember the locked box from in earlier episodes well we will also find out what happens with that box as well. And as you can tell from the title “Twilight’s Kingdom” we will find out what the princess is meant to do.
To get fans ready for the season finale the Hub Network is running a marathon of special episodes from Season 4. It will start at 7:30AM EST/4:30AM PST and will lead into the finale that will air at 10 AM EST/7 AM PST. Plus there’s lots of good things happening around the Hub Network website as well. Fans can participate in games online. In the new online game Rainbow Falls Flight School, players help Rainbow Dash prepare for the Equestria Games by enduring a series of challenging aerial obstacle courses. Throughout the game, players can collect items to unlock a fast-paced matching mini-game, exclusive printables and additional playable characters. In the popular trivia game Equestrivia Challenge, which will start receiving updates every month beginning May 1, players prove their pony knowledge by answering questions about My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic. I’ve been having a great time with all things My Little Pony and last night on the HubBub Chat – Ted confirmed that season 5 of MLP will be coming to the HUB Network in 2015. Yes pony fans we have to wait that long for the show to return but don’t worry there’ll be lots going on online and there’s still My Little Pony Equestria Girls Rainbow Rocks that is set to be released this summer. In the chat there was so much the ladies (Tara & Meghan) shared and they were so much fun. What do you expect but lots of fun and even some voices from Tara. Some of the things we chatted about included their favorite episodes so far, Bronies, Dischord, Cutie Marks and all kinds of pony fun.
