My Little Pony: A Dash of Awesome

My daughter is a huge My Little Pony Fan. She has the whole house watching. We even have a Brony on our hands and with Netflix, we’ve watched seasons one through four multiple times and it just never gets old for us. The new DVD from Shout Factory Kids is My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic – A Dash of Awesome.
It’s all about the fast-flying, sporty, fun-loving Rainbow Dash. You get five full episodes of all Rainbow Dash and it’s a must-have for any My Little Pony fan. My daughter was so excited when it arrived at the house she couldn’t wait to open it up and watch all the episodes again.
Episode Recap:
May The Best Pet Win: Rainbow Dash has to pick a new pet and so she holds a competition to pick one. They all go through an obstacle course and the prize – the winner becomes her pet. Through the course of the race, she realizes that maybe she shouldn’t pick her pet that way and ends up making a surprising decision in the end.
The Mysterious Mare Do Well: A new super pony is in town and she seems to have tons of fans except for one – Rainbow Dash. Everyone seems to be singing her praise while Rainbow Dash tries her best to beat her at something. She soon finds herself on a quest to find out who exactly Mare Do Well is and how did she become so powerful.
Read it and Weep: Rainbow Dash doesn’t like to read. She thinks it will interfere with her image. Soon she finds herself in the hospital from an injury and when boredom strikes she starts reading a book and really enjoys it. Trying to hide it from her pony pals ends up getting her in a bit of trouble. She soon learns that when you have good friends they don’t judge you because you want to read and enjoy books.
Daring Don’t: Rainbow Dash has the chance to meet her favorite character Daring Do. She’s excited about going on an adventure with her and she imagines it will be so amazing. Soon Daring Do gets frustrated with Rainbow Dash and leaves her behind. After finding herself in a bind she ends up needing the help of Rainbow Dash after all.
Rainbow Falls: Rainbow Dash and her Ponyville friends create a racing team for an upcoming competition. Fearing they won’t qualify for the games she starts to worry. Soon a group of faster ponies offers her a spot on their team. She’s torn and doesn’t know what to do. Wanting to support her friends or go for a first-place medal. She’s faced with a tough choice.
