With recent challenges to travel and restrictions on making plans for a getaway for your loved ones, it’s time to embrace what we can do. Simply, we can bring awesome spa experiences into our home.
I’ve been making a habit of finding new ways to have fun packages arrive in our house. It’s turning into quite a fun treat for my little princess to hear the doorbell ring…and have the joy of opening up a new package.
Spa Treatments Are Hot
More and more people are looking to escape to a relaxing and rejuvenating spa. The spa tourist industry focuses on creating awesome experiences for health and wellness. I just learned that this industry is expected to grow to be valued at more than a trillion dollars worldwide.
That’s amazing, don’t you think?
So, it’s no wonder that we are looking for ways to experience the relaxation and pampering we all deserve.
As you may know, I’m a big fan of spa treatments. I think that having a spa treatment is a way to induce, relax, and feel special.
A little while back, I had the pleasure of going to the Hershey Spa with my daughter. We had an amazing time and ever since, I’ve been looking for ways to recreate the magic at home.
Here are a few of the ways we are keeping the magic alive.
Chocolate Delivery
Do you love chocolate? Well, I know you do. I sure do and so does my little darling girl.
Whether you’re looking for a spa chocolate package, a special assortment for a birthday, or a chocolate gift box, you can find premium chocolate delivery options.
These gift baskets are stunning and you’ll get premium cacao and quality ingredients. I don’t know about you…but my daughter and I can hardly choose between bonbons, chocolate truffles, and chocolate bars.
Oh, you might have trouble too—picking your favorite flavor. Check out the crunchy salted caramel toffee, the peanut butter bonbons, and the sea salt milk chocolate.
You can tell…I’m waiting for the doorbell right now.
Manicure and Pedicure
There’s nothing like a mani-pedi to feel like the princess you are. If you have been missing your usual spa treatments, why not bring the goodies home?
Recently, you may have seen a spike in all kinds of offers for nail polish, nail treatments, and foot care. This is a great way to relax and share the pleasures of self-care. You’ll feel better and so will your precious ones.
Celebratory Beverages
What do you recall drinking in a favorite spa? Perhaps it was fizzy sparkling water or cucumber-infused spring water. Maybe it was something with a touch of fruit, such as raspberries or lemons.
What could be simpler than putting fruit into your water? Make this a habit and stock your fridge with a selection of fruit waters. Right now, I’ve got a pitcher filled with lemon water, another with orange water, and a third with lime water.
But, don’t stop with just fruit. Many people enjoy using cucumber as a cooling addition to water. You may also like to try using herbs such as thyme or mint. These add just the hint of freshness.
Once you’ve got these in your refrigerator, it’s one less step to create a delightful beverage for sipping during your at-home spa treatment.
Herbal Sprays
There’s nothing like an herbal spritz to boost your mood and make the stress fade away. Recently, I’ve gotten hooked on creating my own infusions. I’m experimenting with lavender spray—it’s reportedly good for calming, soothing, and inviting sleep. Another favorite is camomile, well known for gentle relaxation properties.
If you’re short on time, consider getting a set of herbal sprays to spruce up your in-home spa treatment. My guess is you’ll use these for freshening up the room on more days and nights than you can imagine.
Lighting
A spa ritual is not complete without mood lighting. Whether you choose votive candles, string lights, or mood lighting—you’ll be rewarded with a relaxing glow. Experiment with different options and have some fun playing with transforming your home into a relaxing spa.
Sum Up
It’s time to create calm and relaxation as part of our home life. If you’ve been dreaming of taking a spa vacation with your loved ones, now you can. With a little attention, you can create serenity—right in your own home.
