Rash Prevention & Protection with Pinxav
Disclosure: I was provided with product samples for review purposes. Any and all opinions are my own.
I recently gave birth to my fourth child and I have to say that I’ve been pretty lucky in that I haven’t had to serious issues with diaper rash with any of my children. I pride myself in doing a good job making sure I use preventative measures to make sure they stay dry as possible and to keep rashes away. Everyone in my family has sensitive skin but my newborn has it the worst. Even baby products would irritate his skin. We’ve had to make some big adjustments with the products we use on him and that included diaper rash cream. Recently a blogger friend sent me an invite to try out Pinxav, she said it was a company she works with and endorse. Since I were looking for something to use on my newborn I jumped at the chance. It’s funny their slogan is “The Best Rash Decision You’ll Ever Make!”
I don’t think it was a rash decision to give the product a try but it was a great decision on my part. When the box arrived I tried it on myself first. I’ve had a rash on my arm that’s spread from me constantly itching it. I know better, I do but I can’t stop itching it. I’ve been using a soap to help but I also needed something to use on it keep it from chapping my skin and getting too dry. I don’t know why the color surprised me but it did, I took a small dab and rubbed it on the rash on my arm. It doesn’t take a lot at all. The ointment is thick like a good cream. It’s not thin and runny like some other diaper rash products I’ve used in the past. I rubbed it in, it does leave residue on your skin but mines eventually blended with my skin over time. You could just keep rubbing it in until there’s no residue on your skin. I like leaving it because I know the barrier is there on my skin. My first time using it I didn’t even realize how good it was working until I showered at night and used my regular lotion and started itching my arm shortly after. With my first application alone I got hours of relief. At that point I felt good about using it with my children to see how it would work to help them with any rashes.
I’ve been using it safely with my newborn since the box arrived and it’s been keeping his bum protected and free of irritation and redness. I apply a small amount after each diaper change, especially when he’s having a lot of dirty diapers. I use disposable diapers and I make sure I change him regularly since I don’t want him to leak or end up sitting in poop diapers. This was also a lifesaver when he got a stomach bug and was having a lot more dirty diapers than usual. Since I was wiping him more often I had to make sure I applied the ointment with each diaper chance to protect his skin and keep it from breaking. I’ve used it with my toddler on a rash he got on his elbow from scratching a mosquito bite. The ointment really helps with keeping the itching at bay and protecting all of our skins. I’ve loved using Pinxav with my family, I wish I had it a long time ago but now that I have found it, I will continue to use it. My box had some samples so I’ve even shared those with some family and friends that have babies so they can experience this product. It’s really a great product.

About Pinxav:
Pinxav was developed in 1927 by Milford Harris along with a dedicated group of doctors and pharmacists, all of whom collaborated to create an effective treatment for diaper rash, a common and painful condition that affects millions of babies every year. In fact, because the sensitive skin of a newborn is no match for a wet, soiled diaper, most babies develop diaper rash at some point during infancy and beyond. The good news is that diaper rashes are rarely serious and respond readily to Pinxav.
Pinxav has been used for acne, burns, bug bites, eczema, psoriasis, poison ivy, incontinent rashes and other skin abrasions. Aside from being a staple baby care product, Pinxav is used in numerous senior and assisted living care facilities.
*Please be aware that Pinxav may stain clothing pink although if washed right away or spot cleaned with a stain remover or even Dawn dishwashing soap, it usually comes out. It is the one downside of Pinxav but the component that stains is essential to the effectiveness of the product, so they keep it!
