Sofia the First The Enchanted Feast Review
My daughter just loves Sofia the First and if you’ve read my blog before I am sure this is no news to you at all. She really enjoys Sofia and her friends. We’ve seen just about every episode at least three time but that’ doesn’t stop her from requesting all the DVDs that’s released. She received a copy of Sofia the First The Enchanted Feast to review from Disney Home Entertainment. Any opinions expressed are hers and have not been influenced.
We’ve actually seen the Enchanted Feast quite a few times already. I think my daughter knows all the words to each song in the episode. In this episode Miss Nettle is back and she is stirring up lots of trouble. She has her eye on Sofia’s magical amulet and she hatches a scheme to steal it from the young princess. She arrives at court as Sascha the Sorceress, mixing up great spells and granting lots of wishes, even Cedric is smitten. Soon she has the whole royal family and their guests in her trap and it’s up to Sofia, Clover and Cedric to come up with a way to help the family and get rid of Sascha or should I say Miss Nettle. The episode features an appearance by Snow White. It’s another fun episode and it reminds you that everyone isn’t who they seem and to always trust your own instinct.
Also included on the dvd are four additional episodes of Sofia the First. Baileywick takes center stage in The Buttercups. When Sofia and her Buttercup Troop head into the wilderness to earn badges, Baileywick ends up being her chaperone for the trip. When they arrive and start earning badges his attempts to help Sofia ends up blocking her from earning her badges. Her final attempt at a badge arrives and of course Baileywick messes it up and ends up needing the help of Sofia and her whole Buttercup Troop. Their training and smart thinking help them get Baileywick back to the castle just in time.
Tea For Too Many starts off with Sofia getting selected at school to host a tea for her teachers and classmates. Her sister Amber offers her help and then she takes the entire affair over. She goes over the top with all the ideas and instead of it being a party thrown by Sofia it’s a party all about what Amber wants. When things go array, it’s up to Sofia to find a solution for her guests.
Aunt Tillie comes to visit in Great Aunt-venture and one of the castle knights is totally smitten with her. She dances to the beat of her own drums and he loves it. He just doesn’t have to courage to let her know. Soon Sofia finds out the reason why he’s silent all the time and she helps him come out his shell and impress her aunt. A hiccup in the plan makes Aunt Tillie rethink her thought on the knight. Now it’s up to him to find a way to win her over for good.
Being a twin sucks for Amber and with her and James’ birthday in full swing she wishes that she didn’t have to share her birthday with him just one year. Two Princesses and a Baby takes us on an unlike adventure when Amber uses a spell from Cedric and turns James into a baby. She instantly have regrets but the new James is unpredictable and he’s giving Sofia and Amber lots of trouble. They race to find the spell to reverse the spell and change him back before their parents realize what happened. Through the process she learns that being a twin isn’t as bad as she thinks and having a brother like James isn’t bad at all.
Sofia the First The Enchanted Feast was released on Disney DVD on August 5th nationwide. You can purchase it online and in stores. Also be on the look out for the upcoming release Sofia the First Holiday in Enchancia on November 4th.
