My Moana Dolby Cinema at AMC Experience

My family and I saw Moana today in Dolby Cinema at AMC, and it was everything I thought it would be and more. We caught an early morning showing, and I was quite surprised at how much people were already lined up at 9:45 AM. Thanks to Dolby and Disney we received four tickets to see Moana. I didn’t even tell the kids what movie we were going to see, it was a total surprise when they sat in their seats.

Every movie I’ve seen in Dolby Cinema at AMC, I’ve loved. It’s unlike any other movie going experience I’ve had in the past. The best thing to me is the picture and sound quality. This time out seats were in the middle and it seemed like the sound was bolder than I remembered. I heard and felt every wave crash in the movie. I would definitely suggest getting those middle seats.

I really like the reclining seats because you get to put your feet up and relax. It really makes you feel like you’re home in your favorite chair.

The movie started with the newest Disney short Inner Workings. Parents this short is for us. Most kids will not understand the story line but as an adult it may strike a chord. Leave it to Disney to perfectly describe depression with a cartoon. The most important thing I learned from the short is that sometimes we have to lead with our hearts and not always with our head. Another was that we need to do what makes us happy sometimes. This is another remarkable short, and the prefect start to the movie.

MAUI is a demigod—half god, half mortal, all awesome. Charismatic and funny, he wields a magical fishhook that allows him to shape shift into all kinds of animals and pull up islands from the sea. The movie starts by telling us the legend of MAUI and how his actions affected the earth. Dwayne Johnson did a phenomenal job as MAUI. My kids were laughing so much when he was on the screen. I didn’t even know Dwayne could sing, but he did great. I loved his song “You’re Welcome!”

MOANA is an adventurous, tenacious and compassionate 16-year-old who sails out on a daring mission to save her people. Along the way, she discovers the one thing she’s always sought: her own identity. Directed by the renowned filmmaking team of Ron Clements and John Musker (“The Little Mermaid,” “Aladdin,” “The Princess & the Frog”) and featuring newcomer Auli’I Cravalho as the voice of Moana, Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Moana” sails into U.S. theaters on Nov. 23, 2016. ©2016 Disney. Newcomer Auli’I Cravalho was the perfect choice for Moana. Her voice made the character authentic for me. Moana is another strong female character from Disney that our daughters can and will look up to for inspiration. She’s brave, determined, and a leader. She followed a dream to help save her people despite the odds stacked against her. She didn’t let anyone keep her from wanting to learn more about her people and her desire to be on the water.

Dolby Cinema at AMC added to the experience of seeing the movie. Our seats vibrated when the waves crashed, or when there was a boom or a splash. The speakers played the drums like we were right in their village, and the music sounded like we were at a concert. The theater is very nice, there is so much space in the seats and leg-room for people to pass when you’re sitting. The theater is always clean and luxiourious. I can’t stress the picutre quality enough, you have to see it to believe it.

DISNEY’S MOANA COMING TO DOLBY CINEMA AT AMC

I’ve heard nothing but great things about Disney’s Moana. Ever since I saw the first preview of the film last year I was excited about the upcoming release. Thanks to the holiday Moana is opening early this week in theaters. You only have to wait three more days for the November, 23rd release date.

Thanks to Dolby Cinema my family and I will be seeing Moana this Saturday. I’m so excited because it’s another Dolby Cinema at AMC showing. I’ve shared about my Finding Dory and most recently my Dr. Strange experiences that we all enjoyed.

I can’t wait to recline in these super comfortable seats with my feet up and enjoy this movie with my family. This is the perfect weekend to take the family to enjoy Moana at Dolby Cinema at AMC. It’s a long holiday weekend, so there’s plenty of time to head to the movies. Moana is showing for one week only in Dolby Cinema at AMC, so I would highly suggest seeing it opening weekend. After you’ve cooked Thanksgiving Dinner or spent the evening shopping, seeing the movie will be the most relaxing this you’ll probably end up doing this whole weekend.
