Kids at Play with Aliquantum Toys
Disclosure: I was provided product samples for review purposes. Any and all opinions expressed are my own.
As a mother of four I am always looking for new, fun, and creative ways to engage my children. As they grow and get older not only do they outgrow clothes, they outgrow certain toys as well. I got the opportunity to review three items from Aliquantum International and I really enjoyed exploring a new brand and being able to share with you about their company and products. The three items we received were Rilakkuma, Djubi and Color Clix. I’ll share my thoughts on all three and some more information about each product and where you can purchase them as well.
Rilakkuma a little brown teddy bear with a small zipper compartment in the back of the bear, that my kids have already used for hiding small toys and coins. I think it’s a cute little bear and it’s one that can be for a girl or a boy. Ours has already been on numerous adventures in my son’s play world. It’s been on a space mission with Buzz, was a firefighter, police officer and a teacher. What I love most about toys like this is that they can become anything my kids imagine them to be. They are not just one thing so there’s a lot of ways for them to play with it and have fun. This is a cool little bear and it’s sure to make you little one happy and entertained. Ours also came with three books that had information about Rilakkuma and it was written in English and Japanese.
About Rilakkuma:
David Ringer, CEO/President of AQI stated that “Rilakkuma is about an attitude and a lifestyle that allows people to create their own adventure with the characters. The fact that so much is left up each individual’s interpretation is what makes the brand so open-ended.” Rilakkuma encourages imagination and creativity. There is no right or wrong answer to how one sees Rilakkuma, Korilakkuma or Kiiroitori. The excitement and craze around the brand stems from having the control to make each Rilakkuma character unique. Rilakkuma and friends are currently available at FAO and Hot Topic locations across North America and range from $8.99 to $199.99 in price.
With the Djubi we got to go outside and play for a bit. It was a treat since the weather took a break from being frozen all the time to give us the chance to run around the field and play catch. I like this because these days kids don’t like getting active and anything to get them outdoors and having fun works great for me. I loved playing with the kids and tossing up the ball to see who caught it first. This is a great way to get out and get active once the weather starts to get warm. Anyone can play so it’s open to lots of family fun and excitement. Take it with you just about anywhere and you’re sure to spend lots of time having fun and enjoying outdoors. It’s great for competition as well.
About Djubi:
HOOK IT! LAUNCH IT! CATCH IT! Djubi Classic is the coolest new twist on the game of catch. A unique combination of a slingshot and lacrosse stick, Djubi Classic consists of a specially designed racquet with a net and launch hook and a ball with an elastic band. Djubi balls can be launched up to 100 feet and they’re easy to catch with the Djubi racquets! Fathers and sons, college students, families and friends will find that Djubi Classic will take the old game of catch to an awesome new level of fun and excitement! Djubi – the all-new game of catch – is available at Scheels, REI, The Good Toy Group and ASTRA stores nationwide (remember, some stores carry Djubi seasonally), Dunham Sports, Amazon, FAO Schwarz and more.
The Color Clix set was a big hit with the kids and a fun way for them to create exciting projects. My kids are younger so they really didn’t make any lavish items but they did create a few cars and smaller items. I suggest when getting this toy to get a small storage tub to keep them safe and secure after the kids are finished playing with them. I didn’t get this bright idea until a few uses and that means I still find idle pieces around the apartment. I really liked this toy the most for the endless possibilities of creation. The kids could play with it for months and still not discover all the things they could build. It also helped encourage them to be creative and get them thinking about building items that were solid and could stand on their own. THe Aliquantum website had a few pictures of ideas for projects and I’m sure a search on the internet would turn up more and more great items. This is one that I highly recommend for parents or care givers for kids. It’s worth it.
About Color Clix:
Welcome to one of the world’s most innovative construction systems! No more building in 2-dimensional space like the “other guys”. Color Clix gives you the power to create virtually anything you can imagine by using the same connecting angles found in atoms, crystals, DNA molecules and other really cool stuff. That’s why we call them Nature’s Building Blocks. These crystals that Mother Nature creates are what science guys call polyhedrons, which are 3-dimensional or volumetric structures. She takes these polyhedrons and uses them as building blocks to make, well… everything!
Each Color Clix pack comes with an Imagination Guide that will teach you the basics and get you started. We recommend that build each of the models shown, but don’t stop there! Use the guide to jump-start your creativity. The possibilities are endless!
Make sure you purchase Color Clix and be prepared to unleash the power of your imagination.
[…] AQI has also sent this mom blogger a Rilakkuma product sample! She was given a small AQI licensed plushie and a board book that tells Rilakkuma’s back story. If I’m not mistaken, the same book was released back in 2003 in Japan. It’s pretty cool! Looks like AQI is trying to appeal to different demographics. […]
