I wasn’t sure what to expect when I first saw the previews for this movie, but I have to say I really loved it.  The heart of the movie deals with the struggle of one man to live his own dream instead of the one his father envisioned for him.  Family secrets really can change someone’s life in so many different ways.  This movie is heart warming and touching.  It touched on so many issues that people face daily including problems with having children, job loss and poverty, adoption, family secrets, rebellion, forgiveness, struggle to find yourself and more, all set to music of the Rock and Role era.  The movie wasn’t anything I expected to be and it was amazingly good and exactly what I would want to watch with my family.  There’s great lessons on faith, love and family.  It encourages people to follow their dreams and to have a forgiving heart.  I don’t know what I would do if I was in this man’s position but I do know that he handled it with grace and focused on the positive instead of the negative.  Instead of letting his family secret destroy him he used it to help him heal and fully pursue his lifelong dreams.  I would recommend this movie to anyone.
