Maxwell Leadership Bible Review

January 14, 2015 By Nickida

Maxwell Leadership Bible Review

My husband has always been someone who wanted to work with kids mentoring them on leadership and scholarship.  We both were Student Body Presidents in college, it’s actually an extension of how we meet so when ever I find a bible that can tap into leadership I want to get it for him.  I received a copy of the Maxwell Leadership Bible, NIV version for review from Booklook Bloggers Program, any opinions expressed are my own.

The one place I would never look for leadership or leaders is in the bible.  Don’t get me wrong it’s not that I don’t know they are there its just that I don’t think of using it a score when discussing leadership with my children.  I really like this bible and I think it will serve my husband or anyone in a leadership role in ministry.  One of my favorite features of this bible is the addition of articles that break down the principles of leadership.  Other features of this bible include:

  • Complete NIV Bible text and translators’ notes
  • Book introductions
  • Articles describing the 21 Laws of Leadership and the 21 Qualities of a Leader
  • Notes throughout the Bible that connect with the Laws and Qualities
  • Indexes to the 21 Laws of Leadership and the 21 Qualities of a Leader

The Maxwell Leadership Bible includes the full NIV text of the bible and you can purchase it from the Faith Gateway online bookstore for $44.99.  Here’s some useful information to consider.  While I like the bible for my husband it’s not his only bible and I would not suggest this as a stand alone bible.  I do love the leadership principles included but I would suggest this in addition to a good study bible.  The pages are thin, a feature I think they used to make the bible appear thinner although it has a lot of pages.  Since the pages are so thin I do recommend that you handle it with care.  I’m use to bibles with thin pages so it didn’t bother me but it may not work for some.  The text are about average size so it isn’t too small to read but it may be a problem for older readers.  Overall I would probably rate this bible a 3.5 out of 5 stars.  It’s a great tool to have in addition to other bibles in your library.
