Huggies Continuing Efforts to Wipe-Out Diaper Need
It’s hard to believe that in America, one in three families don’t have enough diapers to keep their children clean and healthy. I couldn’t believe that so many families were facing hard choices about being able to afford diapers for their babies. Earlier this year the White House brought national attention to the diaper need, and President Obama called for companies to help close the gap.
I’ve partnered with Huggies to share the content included in this post. Any opinions expressed are my own.
Within two weeks of the President’s call to action there was a 500% increase in donations to National Diaper Bank Network (NDBN). Huggies extended it’s long standing commitment this March, in an effort to answer the President’s call with a donation of 22 million diapers to NDBN. According to the NDBN, more than half of its member diaper banks provide other basic need items besides diapers, with body cleansing products – including wipes – as the second-most distributed item.
This Father’s Day, Huggies is continuing to combat diaper need and donating 22 million wipes to the NDBN, to match their 22 million diapers donation from earlier this year. You can also join in the fight to help with the diaper need by donating your Huggies rewards points, earned from purchasing Huggies Diapers and Wipes, to the NDBN, or your can donate diapers and wipes to their local diaper bank.

As the founding sponsor of the NDBN, Huggies has donated a combination of more than 200 million diapers and wipes in the past six years. For more information on Huggies donation efforts, visit the “Why Huggies?” page at Huggies.com.
