Hotels Worth Visiting in the American South

I love traveling in the south, the food, the culture, and the people all make for a unique experience. If you have a trip planned in the American South and you’re heading to Charlotte, Savannah or Nashville, you’ll want to take a look at these hotels before booking anywhere else.

Business travelers heading to Charlotte will find that Hyatt Place Charlotte Downtown offers everything they need to have a productive trip. Complimentary breakfast and wi-fi will keep your fueled and connected during your stay. The in room work station allows you to work on projects from the convince of your room, and if you’re working late you can grab a bite to eat from their 24 hr Gallery Menu and Market. When you’re read to unwind from a long day relax by taking a swim in the outdoor pool, get a work out in at the 24-hour StayFit® Gym, or just enjoy the 42 inch television in your room. Hyatt Place Charlotte Downtown is close to a variety of shops and attractions and with rooms starting at $107 a night, it’s a great option.

Luxurious and Historic in Savannah

Take a step back in time while visiting the Kehoe House in Savannah, GA. Built in 1892, this hotel was preserved to showcase its charm while still offering modern comforts. Kehoe House is adults only and it doesn’t have any hotels or spas on site, however guests can enjoy amenities of the past like meeting other guests in the parlors, try your hand at the piano in the music room or just relax on the verandah with a tall glass of iced-tea. Dining options and shops are just one block away on Broughton Street, and Savannah Harbor and Forsyth Park are both within walking distance. Rooms start at $187 per night and include made-to-order breakfast, coffee, tea, wine and hors d’oeuvres, and baked cookies.

Centrally located in the historic part of Savannah, East Bay Inn is an old world style hotel offering modern extras like wi-fi, cable television, and CD players. Guests can enjoy the Continental breakfast served in the restaurant, and every evening a wine and cheese reception is held in the parlor for guests. This pet friendly hotel has six rooms designated to guests traveling with four-legged friends and staff are able to offer tips on pet-friendly restaurants in the area as well. Rooms at the East Bay Inn start at $189 for the Classic Queen, and if you’d like more space you can upgrade to the Corner Suite for $289 which has a King bed and separate living area.
