California is a beautiful state, with lots of options for travelers. Finding the right hotel doesn’t have to be a chore, as long as you know what you’re looking for. I’ve come across some great hotels when researching California stays, but these unique hotels travelers love are the perfect place to start any search.

Santa Cruz is a diverse travel destination that attracts many people to the area, due to its proximity to Silicone Valley, San José, and  San Francisco. Travelers love the miles of beaches in Santa Cruz, and Dream Inn Santa Cruz gets raves reviews from travelers. Guests loved that Dream Inn was close to the beach and boardwalk, the wellness area, the deluxe pool, ocean view rooms, and the friendly customer service. Rooms start as low as $175 a night for this four star hotel.

Carlsbad is known as “The Village by the Sea,” this resort town has perfect weather year-round, and a variety of outdoor activities for travelers. There is a onsite waterpark, children’s pool, picnic area with grills, plus an arcade and game room. The resort is about a mile from Legoland, and they also provide a shuttle to the park. Marina del Rey is Beautiful and Convenient

Marina del Rey has mild winters, but scorching hot summers, if you’re looking to find the best deals, travel during January through March. Hotels in Marina del Rey are convenient to LAX, as well as other area airports including, Bob Hope Airport, and Long Beach Airport. Top hotels choices for travelers to this area include Hotel Erwin and Inn at Playa del Rey. If you’re looking for something on the marina, Jamaica Bay Inn is a highly rated guest favorite.

Fall Retreat in Fresno

Fresno is a summer hot spot, it can get very crowded in July, especially around Independence Day for the fireworks. To get the best travel deals in Fresno it’s best to visit in October, when the fair is held, or for wine tasting in November.
