Disney’s Hop to the Music Review
It’s officially spring and although it doesn’t feel like it outside, my family and I are ready to celebrate spring. Thanks to Disney Music and Entertainment New Media Network, we received a four pack of CD’s to review and share our thoughts. Any opinions expressed are my own.
Last year we participated in the Hop to the Music event and I picked the CD’s for preschoolers and younger kids. The kids really enjoyed those CDs and still listen to them to this day. This time we received CDs for the whole family. It wasn’t just a mix for kids. Included in the four pack were Disney Junior Shuffle 2, Frozen The Songs, Guardian’s of the Galaxy Awesome Mix Vol. 1 and Disney’s Into the Woods Deluxe Soundtrack. I really wanted the Into the Woods Soundtrack after seeing the movie. I loved the music from the movie so it was the first one I played naturally. I already owned the Guardian’s Awesome Mix Vol. 1 because I got a free digital download from Google. I’ve been playing that for months since seeing that movie. We also own the Frozen Songs CD because the kids received it for review from ENMNetwork last year. The DJ Shuffle 2 was new to the kids so they wanted to play it in the car on our trips to and from the store.
Like I said above we already owned this CD and I have a full review on my blog. The kids liked this because unlike the original soundtrack this only has the songs from the movie, and no instrumentals. I personally liked the instrumentals but for the kids it was nice to just have the songs in one place. Now when they are done listening to it they can skip around much easier than with the original CD. You can read my full review here.
Disney Junior Shuffle 2 is filled with songs from your favorite Disney Junior television shows. My youngest two kids really liked this CD the most because it included music from shows like Doc McStuffins, Sheriff Callie, Jake and the Neverland Pirates and so many more great shows. It was nice to find songs from Miles from Tomorrowland since it’s a newer show. My daughter sang the Sofia songs loudly with so much pride. It’s a great CD to add to any Easter Baskets you plan on passing out this year.
Awesome Mix Volume 1 is a great collection of music from Disney Music. I’ve loved it since we watched the movie last year. I received a free download of this soundtrack and I have been listening to it ever since. I really like all the old school songs that’s on this soundtrack. It really reminds me of my childhood and listening to my dad play those songs as a child. It’s also the reason my husband loves it so much as well. They did an awesome job putting this collection of songs to represent the movie. I honestly can’t wait to hear Volume 2 because I know it’s going to be just as great as the first one.
I was really looking forward to owning the Into the Woods Deluxe Soundtrack. Ever since we saw the movie I wanted to own it. All the actors and actresses did an amazing job with the songs in the movie and owning the soundtrack is a must for me. If you are a fan of musicals and Broadway type shows you will want to own this soundtrack. It includes both the songs and instrumental scores as well. This two disc album has lots for music lovers of all kinds to enjoy. It would make a great gift for music lovers.
