Daniel Bryan, The Shield, John Cena & Our WWE Raw Experience
My family and I recently had the honor of attending WWE Raw Live in Baltimore. Thanks to the generosity of the WWE organization my son, my nephew, my hubby, my brother and myself had the pleasure of attending the show and I have to say we got some pretty awesome tickets as well.
We were very close to the stage and I have to say that I had an awesome time. This was my very first wrestling event. It’s the first time I have even seen any sort of professional wrestling live. I have three nephews that are huge fans of wrestling and so is one of my brothers and when I was in high school I had my own personal Goldberg fan club and a killer scrapbook to match. Since my sons are younger they never really got into the show although all my nephews started off pretty young as fans. Needless to say I was pretty excited to be in the house for #WWEBaltimore. I didn’t know what to expect when we were traveling to the arena but we got there to two lines wrapped around the building. Next time we are getting there before 7 PM because it was crazy to get in. Shout out to the staff at the arena for handling the crowds and getting us in as quickly as possible.
We arrived just in time to see to see the pre-show WWE Superstars. My hubby was excited because a wrestler in the show was from Tampa and he won the fight. After the thirty minute pre-show the live show began and it was good from the very start. If you were watching at home you probably saw the horrible beat down given to Daniel Bryan by Kane. It was the opening ten minutes or so of the show and it was brutal. It was also when I almost jumped out of my seat because of the fireworks in Kane’s intro. I didn’t know it was coming and it scared the mess out of me. My nephew was prepared and I looked to him the rest of the night for the heads up on more fireworks but it didn’t matter each times they went off I got scared.
You can check out the highlights from Monday night on the WWE website and see all the top fights of the night. Since it was my son’s first time he was quite worried about Daniel Byran and he even wanted to enter the ring to help him out. After we assured him that he would be fine we continued watching the show. It was filled with lots of exciting moments. We got the see the Evolution, the Shield and so many more wrestlers. I didn’t even notice till half way through the show that we didn’t hear any of the commentary that you hear when you’re at home. We’re just looking at them in the ring wrestling. It’s definitely an experience every fan should have at least once in their life. Although there was a guy behind us who had a few too many beers and he was cussing a lot and he kept talking loudly and shaking his drinks over our heads. I was so happy they left before the main event. Oh by he way I think John Cena was totally robbed he could have beaten Bray Wyatt if it was an even match up but such is life in the wrestling world. Oh I have a tidbit to share as well….
The date for Wrestlemania has been announced during the show. It will be on March 29th 2015 in Silicon Valley, CA. You probably already saw it online but I wanted to share that so fans can prepare. If you live in Baltimore WWE Raw is returning to Baltimore on Monday, September 8th and tickets for that show goes on sale August 2nd. You can also check the upcoming shows site for dates near you. Here’s a few more photos from our night at RAW.
