Dancing With the Stars Dance Troupe Dance Lesson
Last week I was in Los Angeles for the Guardians of the Galaxy Event. I was super excited about the whole trip when I first received my invite but as we got closer to our trip date anxiety hit. I was so nervous and I couldn’t shake it at all. One portion that gave me so much anxiety was the dance lesson with the Dancing with the Stars Dance Troupe. I know that all the things bothering me where all in my own head. I was getting in my own way, but I couldn’t stop my mind from racing.
Our shuttle group arrived at the studio after the first shuttle group had settled in and started chatting with the DWTS Dance Troupe. I could feel the anxiety levels rising as I pulled constantly on my workout top and leggings. We got ready to start and I headed to the back of the room.
Within a few minutes, all the anxiety feel off. I didn’t even realize how much fun I was having at first, but my face was radiant. I don’t remember the last time I laughed so hard while learning to dance and “working out”. The DWTS Dance Troupe was simply amazing. Slowly they added in each step for the Salsa lesson they were giving us. Taking note of our progress and giving us the opportunity to pick up the steps at our own pace.
The troupe members that were teaching us were Brittany Cherry, Britt Stewart, Hayley Erbert, Alan Bersten, Artur Adamski and Brandon Armstrong! Alan was hilarious. Check him out dancing with Heather Morris when he subbed in for Maks when he was injured.

He has amazing talent. Both on the dance floor and in the comedy department. He really helped with getting the group to losen up and have fun. He cracked tons of jokes so make us feel as comfortable as possible.
We later split up into groups to practice the dance moves and get more one on one lessons. Our troupe leader was Brittany Cherry and she was amazing. She took her time giving us tips and suggestions to help us enjoy and have more fun. When she noticed that we were frustrated or having a hard time she shared individual tips and stragety to make it easier. She even helped modified our steps so we could have more fun and feel at ease. We ended up getting picked to dance first in front of the group. Check us out.
I can’t believe how much fun I had participating in this activity. It was amazing and I had tons of fun. The dance troupe were the best. I wish we had more time to spend with them. Remember to tune in for Dancing With the Stars on 4/24 at 8/7c on ABC Television.
