Copycat Cheddar Bay Biscuits

February 13, 2013 By Nickida

Copycat Cheddar Bay Biscuits

I absolutely love the Cheddar Bay Biscuits at Red Lobster and sometime I go to the restaurant just so I can some to bring home with me.  The problem is they really don’t heat up well.  It also helps that it’s one of my son’s favorite restaurants so whenever we give the kids a chance to pick and I get super excited because I know we may just end up there.  The one thing we can’t deal with at Red Lobster is the wait time.  The kids usually don’t like having to wait 30 minutes to sit and then another 30 minutes for their dinner. They are bigger fans of fast food like McDonalds so I got online and tried to find a recipe to make at home.  Here’ s the biscuits..

ingredients

The ingredients for this is so simple and you probably always have it on hand.  In my photo I know it has the mexican cheese blend but you can use all cheddar cheese just make sure it’s the finely grated cheese.  I like the garlic bread sprinkle because it has a little more seasoning.  The simplest part of this recipe is the use of Bisquik in the mix.  It makes these so soft and just like the real thing.

drop biscuits

The biscuits are easy to mix and all you do is drop them by the spoonfuls on the baking sheet.  Please excuse my messy sheet LOL.  Don’t over bake because you don’t want them to dry out at all.

biscuits

The finished biscuits, you want to serve these warm.  Make sure you have the melted butter with parsley mixed so you can brush it on the biscuits as soon as they are out of the oven.  You’re family is going to love these and they would work great for large dinners with family and friends.  Everyone will want to know how you made these and probably want the recipe when you tell them how easy it was.  So make sure you Pin it and share it as well.
