It’s cold and flu season… It’s a phrase you probably hear over and over again once the temperatures start to dip. With all the kids in school, we are always very cautious when we hear about kids with runny noses and viruses going around. I always keep a supply of tissues and hand sanitizer in the house and donate them to the kids’ teachers as well. We try our best to teach them to practice washing their hands and if they can’t use hand sanitizer to help fight germs.

I’ve been sharing quite a bit about Moms Meet lately. I’ve tried so many amazing products that we have grown to love over the years. This year has been one of the best years I’ve had working with the site. They first introduced me to Desert Essence when I had the opportunity to try some hair care products from the brand. I also tried their toothpaste through Moms Meet and it was the best toothpaste I’ve ever used. So naturally, when I saw their hand sanitizers I knew it was something I wanted to try with my family.
My sampling box arrived with a reusable shopping bag, a cosmetics pouch, three travel bottles of their hand sanitizer, and three full-sized bottles of their hand sanitizer as well. The three varieties include Tea Tree Oil, Tea Tree Oil & Lemongrass, and Tea Tree Oil & Lavender.
About Desert Essence Probiotic Hand Sanitizer
- This pure, potent hand sanitizer kills 99.99% of germs while delivering good bacteria courtesy of probiotic-packed Kefir, which nourishes and conditions the skin.
- Uses patented technology to create a “membrane” around the probiotic to protect it from the antibacterial formula. Probiotic benefits will be delivered after the sanitizer activity completes. This means the sanitizer doesn’t kill the probiotic, and the probiotic doesn’t neutralize the sanitizer. The bad bacteria are eliminated, and the probiotic thrives.
- A powerful combination of botanical extracts including Tea Tree Oil, Thyme, Elderberry, and Echinacea also helps reduce bacteria.

When my box arrived I was surprised at the contents. I have never heard of probiotics being in hand sanitizer but once I made myself more familiar with the products from Desert Essence I learned about the benefits and how it was better than our current hand sanitizer. Unlike other products, the Desert Essence Hand Sanitizer doesn’t leave my hands feeling dried out and rough after using. Instead, my hands felt smooth and soft like I was using a lotion.
My favorite was the Tea Tree Oil & Lavender sanitizer. I really enjoyed the lite smell of lavender after I applied the product to my hands. Another benefit that made this a winner for me instead of what we were used to using. After trying these hand sanitizers from Desert Essence I don’t think I’ll ever buy another brand again, and I think if you purchased them you’d feel the same way as well. It’s luxurious! I know it’s not a word you would think to use when describing something like hand sanitizer but trust me it fits perfectly.
