DuckTales is Getting A Reboot
I can’t believe that DuckTales is getting a reboot and coming back to television soon. A few years ago my oldest son discovered the show on Youtube which prompted us to buy him the series on DVD. He loved the old show, so when we saw it was getting a reboot we were excited.
The new animated comedy adventure “DuckTales” will premiere in a one-hour television movie to be presented for 24 consecutive hours, SATURDAY, AUGUST 12 (beginning at midnight EDT/PDT), on Disney XD. Then, the series will debut with two new episodes SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 23 (7:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 2:00 p.m., 5:00 p.m., 8:00 p.m., 10:30 p.m. EDT/PDT). Each will also be available on the Disney XD app and Disney XD VOD on these same dates.
Last week during D23 Expo we were treated to an exclusive sneak peek at the first half of the one hour premiere. It was everything I imagined it to be and more. I can’t wait to see how the episode ended with the second half. Executive Producer Matt Youngberg and Co-Producer/Story Editor Francisco Angones sat down and chatted with us after the screening to talk to us about their love for the original series and to tell us about the reboot. DISNEY CHANNEL PRESENTS THE 2017 RADIO DISNEY MUSIC AWARDS – To celebrate the highly-anticipated summer premiere of Disney XD’s all-new “DuckTales,” Disney has created a life-size version of Scrooge McDuck’s legendary Money Bin – complete with 30,000 plastic pucks shaped like gold coins, which made its public debut at the 2017 Radio Disney Music Awards (RDMA), music’s biggest event for families on SATURDAY, APRIL 29 at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. Fans attending the expo were given the opportunity to dive into Scrooge’s Money Bin. We got an early morning chance to take a dive into the pit. I was super excited about the experience but that turned around very quickly. Check out my dive and oh please excuse my tummy.
So yeah this seemed like so much fun until I jumped in and lost one of my shoes, got stuck getting out, and my poor feet were hurting like crazy. When I saw the finished clip and my tummy was showing, my feet hurt too much to do it again. However, I did have fun throwing all the coins while looking for my shoes. Expo guests went crazy for the Money Bin according to Twitter, the lines were so long, so much that they ended up having to offer wrist bands for attendees to jump.
