It’s been a great year for movies but the year isn’t over yet and one movie is still high on people’s list for this year.  If you’re a fan of the Star Wars franchise then you know that a new installment is hitting theaters in December and fans worldwide are excited about this upcoming release.  We’ve introduced our children to the franchise but thanks to networks like Disney XD children can enjoy shows like Star Wars Rebels and other Star Wars related shows.  We recently received two DVDs for review, both are great Star Wars DVDs for kids to enjoy and learn more about these iconic films.

Lego Star Wars: The New Yoda Chronicles was released on September 15th, I always love watching Lego shows because they are so creative and fun to watch.  Makes me feel like a kid again and the kids enjoyed watching these episodes and learning about the Star Wars Saga.  These episodes offer a light-hearted approach to Star Wars making it a great way for kids to be introduced to the movies.  My kids had tons of questions after watching because they wanted to learn more about the characters and the movies themselves.  Check out this clip from the DVD.

Lego Star Wars: The New Yoda Chronicles is available for purchase in stores nationwide.  Be sure to grab a copy and enjoy with the whole family while awaiting the new movie release.  In addition to this DVD we received Star Wars Rebels Season 1 on DVD for review.

Starr Wars Revels airs on Disney XD, the new season is slated for this fall, so it’s should be starting soon if it hasn’t started already.  What I love about this series is that it tells a whole story of Star Wars that’s a stand alone from the movies.  It’s sets between episodes III and IV, and it follows a street smart teen who may have what it takes to be a Jedi.  He along with his crew fight against the evil empire.  This is another great way for kids to be introduced to the series.  Rebels has an entire fan base of its own and even fans of the original movies can enjoy the animated episodes with their children.  These are full of action, adventure and lots of Star Wars goodness.  Here’s a slide show of scenes from Season One.
