Around the Clubhouse World DVD & Activity Set Review
Thanks to my friends at Disney Junior for sending this lovely activity set along with Around the Clubhouse World for my kids to review. A few weeks ago the newest addition to the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse franchise was released on DVD. Around the Clubhouse World takes the kids on an exciting adventure with Mickey, Minnie, Daisy, Donald and the rest of the clubhouse crew.
When the package arrived my son who thinks all the packages should be addressed to him couldn’t wait to open the box and see what was enclosed. He was mostly excited about the DVD and the card game. My daughter wanted to passport right away. They both wanted to build the puzzle as a family.
The DVD we watched right away. The kids couldn’t wait to see where Mickey and his friends were heading. My daughter loved the portion on Paris. She repeated it quite a few times actually. She had lots of questions about France. She asked about planes and traveling, she just wanted to know so much and I loved answering all those questions. They laughed so much watching Donald and the Beanstalk and my son was super excited about Goofy on Mars. It’s a great dvd to add to your collection if you have a little fan of the show and it also comes with a souvenir passport for all your little ones adventures this summer. Be sure to grab a copy, you can purchase it in stores nationwide or online via Amazon.
The puzzle we bot in our kit is in the process of being built. When the kids get home from school we spend about 10 minutes playing around with it. The box has some instructions to build your mini replicas. I helped the kids put them together. Each time we complete one I share some information with them about the the famous attraction. Where it’s located, when it was built, things along those lines. It’s a great way to help them understand more about tourist attractions.
My daughter loves this passport activity set. She takes it everywhere with her. As I am writing this she has it in school with her. We pretend to travel to different countries so she could learn something new about each country. That’s a great way this summer to get your kids excited about still learning. Create a dinner recipe from another country. Make sure the kids help. Then while you are making the meal teach your children three facts about that country. Like the Capital City, their native language if it isn’t english, what kind of currency they use, products they export. Things along those lines. Your kid won’t even realize they’re learning and it’s a fun way to learn something new even for yourself.
My kids haven’t been on a plane yet but the fun thing about the card game is that you can do the activities in multiple places. It’s a great travel game for road trips. We just pretend when we’re playing our game. You can even create your own cards like these if you are traveling soon. Simple come up with fun, creative things to do for each card, use blank index cards, markers and your imagination. Use it for travel in the car, fun activities around the house or when you’re vacationing. It’s really up to you.
We’re already off to a great summer thanks to our friends at Disney Junior and I hope that you pick up the dvd and start your summer adventure too.
