As a mom to three kids five and under, I am always walking in on a sticky situation. We all have had those messes as parents, the ones that make you want to fall on your knees and start crying, or bawling at the top of your lungs and make you so mad you turn red. It happens with kids and it seems with each sticky situation our nerves relax a bit and soon we just smile and just accept it as a part of life. I remember one time I was baking brownies and I had just put them in the oven and walked out the kitchen to do something in the living room. I came back like two minutes later to find….
He attacked the batter bowl. It then took me another two minutes to chase him around the house and catch him to clean him up. Now I make sure I wash the bowls when baking before leaving the room. That’s not the only sticky mess my three kids have gotten into. I have to hide all the flour in my house in the high shelves because if it’s in the bottom shelves then my toddler will be looking like Casper in minutes. LOL. I’m not even going to mention markers. They are in a storage tub that only I have access to and is only used under my supervision, though I will say I have more crayon drawings on my wall than anything.
