You’re probably very familiar with Vermont Nut Free Chocolates and all the different kinds of chocolates they have to offer for people who have nut allergies but did you know they also make Granola Bars and the MetaBall Energy Ball? I recently had the opportunity to try both of these products and I have to say I was totally blown away. I really liked that the products were 100% nut free. Although I am not allergic to peanuts, I have been having problems with certain tree nuts and it was great to find a few products that is not only good for you but free of nuts.
The MetaBall:
The slogan for these are, ‘Its an energy bar only better!’ and I have to admit I have never had an energy bar before. I don’t even drink coffee the most caffeine I get is from a can of Cola. So I really can’t say for certain how it compares to other bars but I really like the flavor of these. When I tried it I only ate one and it gave me enough pick me up to make to through the after noon without feeling sleepy or tired. I also noticed it didn’t keep me up late or made it hard for me to fall asleep. These are 100% natural and nut free. It’s high in low G-Carbs (intermediate burn carbs) and high in fiber. This was a nice snack for my hubby to give him some energy to drive home on his long commute. It’s definitely worth picking up and trying. You can visit the MetaBall section of VNF site for more information on this product. They are priced as follows: A pack of three for $2.95, a bucket of 24 $22.00 or 12 of the three packs for $33.95
The Tanabar:
The Vermont Nut Free Granola has to honestly be the best granola bar I’ve ever tasted in my life. I was so sad I didn’t have more to eat. They were great as a on the go breakfast, as an afternoon snack or a just because they are so great I’ll eat one now treat. The first one I tasted was the chocolate chip bar and I just couldn’t believe how good it was. It’s not like any other bar I’ve tried before. This bar is filling and it’s not made up for puffy rice grains to make it seem like you’re getting lots of filling ingredients but you are not. The Tanabar is also all natural and 100% nut free. They are packed with all natural wholesome ingredients such as oats, honey, sunflower butter, wheat germ, and vanilla, with a hint of cinnamon. Typing this now is making me want one so badly. I highly recommend you give these granola bars a try.
You can find out more about them by visiting the Tanabar section on the site. These are priced at $2.25 each or a box of 12 for $24.00.
