My husband and I have visited a few cities in Colorado, all of them were amazingly beautiful. We fell in love with Colorado Springs, but I’ve heard a lot of travel bloggers talk about Vail and it sounds absolutely fabulous. Sonnenalp is just steps off the slopes of Vail, and offers out-of-this-world shopping and dining. The hotel is in the heart of Vail Village, and just a short drive from Vail/Eagle County Regional Airport. Their ski concierge is available for guests to plan activities on the slopes. If you’re visiting in the summer, Jeep Tours and Fly Fishing are a few of the activities available. The hotel’s kids club offers a variety of complimentary activities for kids 3 through 12, allowing parents to get out and really enjoy their vacation. Sonnenalp rooms rates start at around $698 per night in peak season.

Start your day off at the gym or at the breakfast buffet. The free town shuttle outside the hotel makes it easy to get around town, and you’re only a block away from the slopes. Lionshead Inn is a budget-friendly hotel that’s close to Shadow Mountain and Mount Evans. Kids 18 and under stay free when using existing bedding. Guests can get one crib for children 2 and under. Rooms have a small kitchenette and microwave, giving travelers a opporunity to save money by creating their own small meals. Lionshead offers complimentary breakfast, as well as free Wi-Fi in the lobby. Evergreen Lodge is another cheap option for travelers in Vail. The hotel allows pets; however, you are not allowed to leave it unattended in your room.
