Having the kids home for summer means I have to find lots of different ways to keep them entertained. Movies are a great way to keep them entertained and for us to spend time together as a family. We’ve added in some family movie nights in our summer schedule and it’s been great for us as a family to enjoy the time together. Since my older kids are spending more time on their own doing their own thing. Thanks to Universal Studios we got an advanced copy of UglyDolls Sing-Along Edition to review and it was perfect for one of our family movie nights.

UglyDolls is a fun summer movie with lots of great messages for kids, especially older kids. I love the undertones of promoting knowing your own self-worth and not striving for perfection because no one is perfect. With a child with special needs, we are always reminding our kids about being accepting of people and being kind individuals. It’s easy for people to look at someone that is different from them and make assumptions about them without getting to really know the person.
It was a great conversation starter for us to have another conversation with our kids about kindness with the new school year starting soon. The music was another outstanding portion of this film. There are some great voices connected to this film and it was great to sing-along to the songs and laugh and have fun as well. UglyDolls is one of those movies your kids will enjoy over and over again.
