My oldest son has a very special relationship with Toy Story. It was his first favorite movie. He loved the characters for what seemed like forever. He was first introduced to the franchise with Toy Story 3 and quickly grew to love the first two movies, the shorts, and anything related to the film. I remember when they announced the fourth movie, he was elated. It came on the heels of him giving up all his Toy Story toys. He was getting older but seeing Buzz and Woody returning to the big screen he immediately became excited.
While I wasn’t sold on the return of the gang, I knew it meant a lot to him and it was a film we could all enjoy as a family. See I thought the third movie put the perfect bow on the franchise for me. I didn’t see the need to tell another storyline and after seeing it again I have to say I do think to stop at Toy Story 3 was enough, at least for me.
Disclosure: I received a Toy Story 4 Carnival Themed box in exchange for this post, any opinions expressed are my own.
When the folks at Think Jam reached out to me to share about Toy Story 4 with a special “Carnival” themed box, I jumped at the opportunity because I knew it was something the kids would love. We like to watch one family movie every week together and we were already planning to rent Toy Story 4 for this week, so it was a great bonus.
About Toy Story 4
In “Toy Story 4,” Woody (voice of Tom Hanks) has always been confident about his place in the world, and that his priority is taking care of his kid, whether that’s Andy or Bonnie. So, when Bonnie’s beloved new craft-project-turned-toy Forky (voice of Tony Hale) calls himself “trash,” Woody decides to teach Forky how to embrace being a toy. But a road-trip adventure, including an unexpected reunion with his long-lost friend Bo Peep (voice of Annie Potts), shows Woody how big the world can be for a toy. In addition, carnival prizes Ducky (voice of Keegan-Michael Key) and Bunny (voice of Jordan Peele) bring a new level of fun to the film.
The must-own, fourth installment in the Toy Story series will be packaged several ways to ensure families get the most out of their in-home entertainment experience. “Toy Story 4” arrives home a week early on Digital 4K Ultra HD™, HD and SD with two exclusive extras including a deleted scene, “Bonnie’s Playtime”. A physical copy of the film is available as a 4K Ultra HD™ Combo Pack (4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and Digital Code), a Multi-Screen Edition (Blu-ray, DVD and Digital Code) and a single DVD. Fans who wish to relive all four Toy Story adventures may opt for a Digital bundle, which is available for pre-order.

Toy Story 4 Carnival At Home
Our Carnival in a Box was perfect for our movie night. All we needed to do was add some popcorn and the people for a night of fun indoors. The tent was super easy to put up out of the box.
Our snacks were all Toy Story 4 themed with fun characters all over the packages. The kids ate those snacks up so quickly. We will be looking for more of those themed packages the next time we are shopping for lunch box snacks.
We even had some party supplies in our box including cups, plates, napkins, and some fun masks for the kids to wear. If you’re planning a birthday party these are all perfect for an all-out Toy Story celebration.
While I felt like this movie wasn’t needed for the franchise, there was still lots of love and enjoy. The kids have already watched it twice again since we watched as a family. New characters and the uniting of Bo Peep and Woody brought me lots of joy. I would have chosen a different ending but overall it was a nice little bow to finish off this story. Also, be sure to watch the scenes between the credit rolls for a few little story updates as well.
When you’re ready to plan a fun movie night check out this fun Duke Caboom’s Daredevil Snack Mix recipe to create with your kids. It’s a nice snack to enjoy while watching the film.
