This historic hotel is a top choice for weddings among Chicago brides. Millennium Knickerbocker offers guests the choice for modern or classic rooms and meeting spaces. Kimpton’s Hotel Allegro offers yoga mats in rooms to help you start your day fresh or help you wind down at night. The hotel is close to the train lines allowing guests who want to explore the city that option. If you do bring your car prepare to pay for valet parking, $52 a night, $29 for four to six hours and $25 for two for four hours. Hotel Allegro is pet friendly they offer special amenities just for pets including free treats and pet beds. Rooms start at $300 per night with premium suites costing upwards of $400.
Budget Friendly for the Adventure Traveler
Chicago Gateway Hostel is the perfect fit for an adventurous traveler. This is unlike any of the other hotels on my list, offering a choice of private and shared rooms. Dorm style rooms range from four to twelve rooms. Wireless internet, linens, lockers and luggage storage are free for guests. The Hostel put on weekly social events for entertainment. You can use the 24 hour guest kitchen to prepare meals or explore the area via public transportation. Room rates start at $30 per night, shared rooms cost less than private rooms and the Hostel offers different rates for extended stays, inquire with hostel staff about pricing options when checking in.
