Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature Added Comfort Feeding Bottles
Disclosure: I was provided the products below for review from Tommee Tippee, any and all opinions expressed are my own and have not been influenced.
I’ve enjoyed my past two reviews for Tommee Tippee and I couldn’t wait to try some more of their amazing products with my newborn. When he first got home we had some problems with him taking certain nipples but soon he was using his Tommee Tippee Winter Edition Bottles with out any problems at all. Shortly after the holidays he started to have problems with fussiness and gas. I’d been here before with my other children so I tried all that I could to help soothe him and make him feel better. I had already changed his formula to Similac Sensitive and that was helping but he need a bottle that would reduce the amount of air he got when feeding, that’s when I found the Added Comfort Feeding Bottles from the Closer to Nature product line. It’s a new product and it sounded promising from the site so I knew I wanted to try them. I reached out to the company and shortly after I received a lovely package with various items for my newborn.
In addition to the Added Comfort Bottles I also got one of the original Closer to Nature bottles, two packs of their pacifiers, one pack of formula dispensers, and a pack with two nipple shields (for moms who are breast feeding).
I have to say that I love these bottles, they have been great with helping reduce the amount of air that my son is getting with each feeding. It has helped reduce his episodes with gas and makes feeding easier. Of course his problems with gas and fussiness is not totally gone but there’s a big difference from when he uses his regular bottles and when he uses these bottles with gas in-between feedings. He is still in the small 5 oz bottles for now but soon we’ll need to get him some of the 8 oz bottles for when he gets older. Using the bottle is so easy and as you can see from the photo there are no bubbles in his formula. When he uses some of his other bottles you can see bubbles and left over foam when he’s done eating and those are sure signs that he’s getting air during his feeding.
I wanted to show you the piece that makes these bottles special and as you can see all you do it just place it in the bottle and it’s that easy. (Please note: make sure you put that piece in your bottles, my hubby forget it once and when he was shaking the bottle it leaked all over him, it’s needed to make the bottle work.) It’s also so easy to clean just wash it like your regular bottles, get in-between the cracks and make sure its dries properly when it’s time to use it again. If you’re pregnant or know someone who is expecting pick these up for baby it’s a must have bottle. You can purchase them at Babies R Us.
About the Added Comfort Feeding Bottles:
Colic in infants may be caused by a combination of influences including ingesting air during feeding. The new Added Comfort range from closer to nature is specially designed to help reduce air bubbles in the milk and to encourage a good latch-on to help reduce the risk of baby ingesting air during feeding. The air vents down through the tube and into the air-space at the base of the bottle, completely bypassing the milk.
key features:
- Unique tube and valve system to provide optimum venting during feeding
- Unique, easy-latch-on nipple shape that promotes continuous feeding
- Soft, natural-feel silicone nipple to make it easier to switch between breast and bottle
- Easy-hold bottle with slow-flow nipple
- Bottle compatible only with Closer to Nature Added Comfort nipples (not Closer to Nature Easi-Vent nipples)
- BPA-free
