About the Book:

God gives us so many blessings. Let’s look and see all we have to be thankful for!

Alexa Grace is having a bad day, but then Grandma arrives with something special for “Grandma’s Little Punky Grace”—an Ebenezer jar that she thinks is very peculiar. Grandma explains that an Ebenezer is a “stone of help” and represents God’s blessings. Alexa Grace wonders if she can fill the jar with some of God’s blessings. She goes on the hunt with her furry Newfoundland puppy and Grandma, and Alexa Grace’s new blessing jar soon overflows with God’s wonders.

Filled with charming artwork, this heartwarming book is the first preschool children’s title by bestselling author Colleen Coble. The Blessings Jar celebrates the bond between grandparents and grandchildren and teaches little ones an important lesson about recognizing even the smallest of God’s blessings and being thankful for them all.

My thoughts:

My kids loved this book, especially my daughter.  A few years ago my mother had a stroke and my daughter was with her when it happened.  She was scared and didn’t know anything that was going on.  All she wanted to know was if her Nana was going to be okay.  When she finally came home it was just before Christmas and it was a blessing to us.  The book reminded my daughter of that time and being super thankful for all the blessings in our lives.  She wants to read this book daily and even wants to take it with her to her grandparent’s house so she can share it with her grandmother.  It’s a great book and the reminders of finding blessings in the smallest things always makes my day when we pick up this book.  I feel good about sharing this with my children at a young age so they learn to appreciate all that God has blessed them with.  It’s a great gift to give to your children and making your very own blessing jar is a great project as well.  We are currently working on our own blessing jar.

One lucky reader will have a chance to win their own copy of the Blessing Jar.  The giveaway starts now and ends August 8th @11:59 PM.  Enter via the tool below.
