Strange Magic DVD Review
Strange Magic is set to arrive on DVD, Digital and On-Demand on May, 19th. From the creative mind of George Lucas this musical tale of love will have you singing, dancing and thinking about your own adventures of love. We received a copy of Strange Magic for review purposes, any and all opinions expressed are my own.
I didn’t realize that Strange Magic was a musical with lots and lots of music. For some reason I just assumed since it is a George Lucas film that it would be about fantasy. Within five minutes I realized it wasn’t like anything I expected but it was beyond what I could have expected. There’s so many things to share from the film. I will start with the music, since it is a musical. Be prepared to rock out to current hits, oldies but goodies and some tunes that leave you guessing. I loved the music from this film, my son would ask me to rewind songs over and over. He had quite a few scenes he loved because of the music. The music is what really drew our whole family in. When we would sing the kids would ask us about the music and when they were singing we asked them about how they knew the songs.
The characters in this movie are all memorable in their own way. I liked that by the end of the movie the roles we thought each character would take on, ended up being the complete opposite. Strange Magic also reminds you that love can be found in unexpected places, that you shouldn’t make assumptions about someone based on their looks and most importantly to look within a person to know who they truly are instead of going off of their appearance. At its heart Strange Magic is the musical, magical tale of how two sisters found love and their journey to finding that love.
