For months my husband has been telling me how much he wants to start eating better and every time I get healthy foods to review on the blog, suddenly he has a case of amnesia and forget that he wanted to start eating better in the first place.  With the new year fast approaching I plan to do things differently for my family and myself.  I plan to start to new year right with superfoods from Rodale’s.  I received samples for review.  Any opinions expressed are my own.

The first thing we tried was the Yumbutter, they sent us four different products to try.  The Yumbutter came in pouches that make them easy to carry with you at all times.  They have a convenient spout for squeezing the Yumbutter on anything you want.  Pack with Chia, Hemp Seed and Goji, the butter is a great source of protein.  Honesty I have to say the kids were very skeptic of trying it.  My husband and I tried it and were surprised at how good they tasted.  The Peanut Butter tasted just like regular peanut butter.  The Almond Butter was a favorite of mines as well.  Be sure to check back for my review of Yumbutter.  The Yumbutter sells for $7 a pouch on the Rodale’s website.

Navitas Naturals sent us a few different products to try including two packs of their Organic Dried Dragonfruit.  My oldest sister was visiting when this package arrived and she immediately wanted to try the dragonfruit.  She took a pack and I kept one.  It was great with salad we had for dinner, it added color to salad and flavor.  These also made great snack choices for both my husband and myself.  Now instead of reaching for candy or cookies, we eat a few slices of dragonfruit.  I’ll also be sharing about all the products I tried for Navitas Naturals so be sure to look out for that post.  You can purchase the Organic Dried Dragonfruit from Rodale’s website for $8.99 a pack.
