Spark Creativity with Painting Lulu
By the time my second child started Kindergarten I was sick and tired of crayons. Yes I am so tired of finding all kinds of crayons all over my house and the kids room especially. I can’t tell you just how much I hate it. They are always broken and in halves all around. It seems like every month each child needs a new box of crayons. Jumbo, neon, glitter, character themed, and regular – oh and I can’t forget the ones from the restaurants. I have enough of those to make at least five boxes of crayons, all collected over seven years of being a mom. I am looking forward to the school years of no more crayons. My loathing of crayons makes me want to find other options for when the kids are home and want to participate in craft projects. That’s where Painting Lulu enters the picture. I was contacted by Painting Lulu to review their new innovative product. Any opinions expressed are my own and have not been influenced.
We received two Painting Lulu Kits to review. The kit come with a 32 page coloring book and a free digital crayon inside. Once you receive your kit the next steps are super easy to follow. With Painting Lulu kids have the ability to color in real life and online. Your child can color in their coloring books using crayons or they can color online using the free Painting Lulu App – available on iTunes, Google Play, Amazon App Market and on your desktop computer.
Using the Painting Lulu app is so easy. Our book was the Meet Lulu book and that’s the one we got unlocked. Once you unlock the book you can scan any page in the book so it opens in the app for your kids to color. When using the app you use the digital crayon that was provided with the coloring book.
On each page you have the option to share on Facebook or print your child’s painting when they are finished. At the bottom where the brushes, crayons, or color pencils appear you can scroll over and find other color options.
Also in the options for choosing what instrument you are using to color you can also choose to erase your painting and start over again. My kids had a little bit of a hard time staying in the lines when they first started using Painting Lulu but as they got more comfortable with the app they got better and better with painting and coloring.
My kids really loved using their Painting Lulu Coloring Book and App. They not only get to color in the book but they also see that drawing coming to life online. I like that sometimes they don’t have to use crayons to color and even with painting it’s no mess at all. The app doesn’t take up a large amount of space and each child can install the app on their own tablet so there’s no fighting to use the app. Overall it’s a great product for kids, one that parents can appreciate and help their kids spark creativity with Painting Lulu.
You can purchase your own Painting Lulu kit online. Right now they are having a great sale. Also be sure to follow @PaintingLulu on Twitter for updates.
