May is a very busy month for my family and I. We have three birthdays in May. My husband is first followed by our oldest son and then our middle son. Every year we usually hold a family picnic at a park to celebrate my sons birthdays. It’s usually on Memorial day and it’s how we kick off the summer. This year it was no different from past years. We made huge plans for heading out to the park for the day. Our planning started with a trip to Giant Eagle to stock up on Coke for the day.
Our adventure filled day started with us having to find another park for our family outing because the one we would usually visit was already at capacity. Thankfully we had a short drive to another park and we were ready to start the day. I was quite surprised with how the new park turned out. I actually like it better than the other park we usually visited.
My husband was on the grill but my dad was trying to take the credit. They were cooking up burgers, hot dogs and ribs for the family.
While waiting for the food, these guys grabbed an early snack.
While waiting for the food, JB was spraying on some sunscreen to protect his skin out in the sun.
Everyone set up their chairs and blankets in a cool spot so they could relax and enjoy the day.
The kids loved running around with all the space in the park they really enjoyed the nice cool day. We were so close to the water than even though it was a very hot day we stayed pretty cool.
We don’t get together and not play football. It’s mandatory for us. Of course we got the ball out and threw it around.
We had such a great time I totally forgot to get picture of the food before. It was all good, because the family ate it all up. My hubby the grillmaster is always worried that I’ll forget to save him a drink. I made sure this time I did. I kept a nice cold beverage for him once we got home.
While we were shopping for I found some cool bottles of #ShareACoke with Class of 2015 bottles that I just loved. We have a family member graduating with her masters and we had to grab her a bottle for celebrating her special day.
If you had the opportunity who would you Share A Coke with? Since Coke is my soda of choice, I share a Coke with anyone visiting my house. Anyone that knows me knows how much I love Coke.
These mini can are the cutest things I’ve ever seen. They are the prefect party size drink. I love having them for road trips in the car.
Glass bottle Coke always reminds me of growing up in Trinidad. I look getting them to keep for “in case of emergency”. I rarely run out of soda but if I do I always have a glass bottle somewhere around to hold me over till I get to the store.
