Safe Cities for a Growing Family

November 12, 2021 By Nickida

When you are starting or have a family already, the most important thing about where you live is safety. You want your kids and spouse to be safe. Of course, your life doesn’t stop when you have children. You want to do the things you love to do, but there is much less time. That’s why you should move to a place that is both safe and exciting. There are plenty of options that fit this description. Whether you want to go on a new life adventure abroad or simply want to move to the safest mid-size city, here are a few cities that are safe enough to raise a family.

Brentwood CA

Brentwood, California

Los Angeles isn’t typically known for being safe, but if you live in the area and want to move to a safer part of town, Brentwood is a great option. It is much more suburban and relaxed than much of LA, providing a safety that most of the city simply doesn’t have. It is also somewhat expensive, but if you have the money, you probably won’t mind paying for the security that Brentwood provides in comparison to other parts of Los Angeles. If you work with a Brentwood realtor, they will help you find a home for a great price. Do you want to stay in Los Angeles but want to move to a safer part of the city? Try Brentwood.

Irvine, CA

Irvine, California

Designed around the University of California, Irvine, this planned city is one of the safest places in the world. Great schools, proximity to many cities in Southern California, and some of the best Asian food in the United States make Irvine a great place to raise a family. If you want to move to an extremely safe place, this is where you want to be. The center of the city was designed to be a certain distance away from the freeway so traveling criminals wouldn’t come in and wouldn’t be able to sneak back out very easily. The only criticism anyone can come up with about Irvine is that it’s not very exciting, but when you are growing a family, boring is exactly what you want.

Singapore

One of the safest cities in the world is Singapore. This Southeast Asian city-state is incredibly safe. There are a lot of rules that need to be followed while living here, but the security of Singapore is unparalleled. The food is also amazing. You will also be in a great place for business and nightlife. While Singapore doesn’t allow drugs, it does allow alcohol. It’s a fun place regardless of who you are. If you want to raise your kids in an international environment, you can’t do much better than Singapore. Chinese, Indians, and Malay people mix with Westerners and others from abroad. It is an amazing city, and it’s extremely safe.

Aurora, Colorado

The “gateway to the Rockies” is one of the safest places in Colorado and in the United States. It is suburban, but it’s not too far from Denver. You also have all the beauty of the mountains, and all that Colorado has to offer. It is an amazing place. Are you into nature and hiking? If you want your children to grow up in an environment of the natural world, look no further than Colorado. Aurora is a great spot for just about any family. It is safe and provides enough opportunity to get out there and be humans, not just parents. Colorado is incredible, and hard to beat.

Plano, Texas

There are many safe places in Texas, but Plano is perhaps the safest. It is an affluent suburb of Dallas located on the Northern side of the metropolitan area, providing easy access to the city and the huge international airport. You can go into Dallas for dinner and nightlife, travel with your children, and live in a beautifully safe and opulent area. It is, in many ways, ideal.

When you are starting a family, you want to live in a safe place. You don’t stop being human, though. You will still want adventure in your life, but your home base needs to be safe. However large your family and whatever your priorities are, these safe cities can provide a refuge from the madness.
