Pursuing a Blogging Dream, I’m Heading to LA Again
When I started blogging I had no idea where it would lead and what would come out of it. I’ve been doing it on and off for about five years and two years ago I started down a path that has been life changing for me. Growing up I wanted to be so many different things in life but as time passed so did my goals. I’ve grown up and settled into what I want for my life right now. That’s being a wife and a mom. That’s what I started off blogging about, then slowly it changed and included recipes, then book reviews, more reviews and then I joined a blogging group and realized that I could dream big in the blogging world and so I made a list of companies I wanted to build a relationship with. It was a year ago I made that list and on the top was Disney.
When you dream, dream big because that’s the only way to do it. Earlier this year I received my first sprinkle of Disney Magic when I was invited to a in home releases press trip. It was amazing. It was a huge dream come true for me, my husband still brags about my trip to anyone that will listen. Once I returned home from my trip I knew I wanted to return again and I figured maybe next year it would happen for me again. Then a few weeks ago the Disney magic landed in my email box again. I was beyond ecstatic. One year ago I dreamed about getting to attend of these events and this will be my second time this year. And in the words of Walt Disney “All our dream can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them”. So I’m heading to L.A. for a second time this year and it’s going to be AMAZING! This trip has some amazing events planned for myself and twenty-four other bloggers.
I’m super excited about this trip because I am getting to walk the red carpet for the premiere of Big Hero 6. My entire family is excited about this movie and that’s only one aspect of how amazing this trip will be. It’s going to be epic and I can’t wait to attend another amazing trip. Here’s what I’ll be doing while I’m in L.A. in November.
While in L.A. I will have the opportunity to walk the red carpet at the BIG HERO 6 (opening in theatres on 11/7) premiere and also attend a special press day at Walt Disney Animation Studios where I will interview the filmmakers, attend a drawing demonstration with animators and get a chance to voice a character from the film in a recording booth! When I was on my trip in February I had the opportunity to lend my Voice to Olaf, learn about rigging and had an amazing interview with the filmmakers. This is of course my first time walking a red carpet for a movie and I can’t wait to see the film and show off the cute dress I got for the event. Be sure to follow the hashtag #BigHero6Event to read about all Baymax & Hero.
The fun doesn’t stop there either, because while I am in town I will also attend a live taping of “Dancing with the Stars”(Monday nights at 8/7c) at the glamorous ballroom set! Afterwards, during dinner, I;ll be to live tweeting for the West coast airing of the show – when a special guest (or two!) might make an appearance. I’m hoping the guests are Carlton and Lea for the show since those two are my favorites to win it all.
I’ll also visit the Walt Disney Studio Lot for special preview screenings of episodes of ABC shows, like the new hit comedy “black-ish” (Wednesday nights at 9:30/8:30c) – which also shoots on the Disney lot, so a set tour might be in order! – and the upcoming musical comedy “Galavant” (hosted by Executive Producer Dan Fogelman of “Tangled” and “Cars” fame). I’ve been live tweeting with the cast of black-ish every Wednesday and it’s my favorite new comedy. I can’t wait for Wednesdays so I can catch up with the family and see what’s new for the family. I’m also excited for the sneak peak of Galavant that’s coming soon to ABC. This was enough for me to be filled with excitement but the trip keeps getting better because this was just announced…
I’ll be meeting #AgentCarter herself (aka actress Hayley Atwell), interviewing the Executive Producers Tara Butters and Michele Fazekas (also EPs on Resurrection), touring the set and other super exciting stuff! #AgentCarter premieres on ABC in midseason!
