Power Pressure Cooker XL Unboxing and Review
Growing up in Trinidad I have fond memories of watching my mother cook meals in the pressure cooker. She used one of the old ones on the stove. I remember one time she was cooking and getting ready to release the steam from the pot and the top piece popped up into the ceiling. As a child it was very terrifying, so when I grew up I was afraid to try it in my own kitchen. With modern technology I can create some of the same dishes my mother created in her kitchen without having to be afraid of the pressure cooker.
TriStar Products reached out to me about trying their Power Pressure Cooker XL™ on my blog. I was super excited about getting the unit to try. The box arrived and I was excited about taking it for a spin. I mostly love using my pressure cooker to make greens, and I sometimes use it to tenderize goat or beef when I’m in a hurry. This particular pressure cooker has settings for canning, soups, rice, steaming, and even a slow cooker setting. That means I can get rid of at least two other appliances off my counter and replace it with just this one.
I did a quick unboxing video to show off the Power Pressure Cooker XL™ and how nice it looks. It’s such a nice machine. It would be perfect for gift, for anyone who likes cooking, or someone who likes to create fast meals.
I love the one touch settings on the front of the cooker, with just the touch of a button I can make rice, without having to constant watch the post or making sure it’s done perfectly. Canning my own fruits or making jam is a breeze with the one touch setting and recipe book included with the pressure cooker. I was amazed that the Power Pressure Cooker XL™ also had a slow cooker setting. I’ve never seen that on any pressure cooker I’ve used in the past. That was a nice surprise for me.
Available in 6 quart ($99.99), 8 quart ($129.96) and 10 quart ($159.93) models, Power Pressure Cooker XL™ can be purchased at powerpressurecooker.com, as well as through select national retail stores and websites. I received the 6 quart unit to review and it was perfect for creating meals for my family of six. I loved the three color choices of the limited edition 8 quart pressure cookers. They are prefect for adding that special touch of color to your kitchen.
Another reason I love this pressure cooker is the clean up at the end of making a meal. On days when I’m tired and I just don’t feel like spending an hour plus in a hot kitchen I put a few ingredients in and within an hour I have a delicious meal my family enjoys. It’s so easy to find great recipe ideas online for pressure cookers, and this one also includes a recipe booklet with some delicious meal ideas.
There are so many benefits to choosing to use a pressure cooker for all your meals, the combination of its flavor infusion technology and high-pressure environment results in:
- Traditionally slow-cooked meals that are ready 70% faster than conventional methods
- Locked in nutrients and vitamins
- Meats and seafood with intense flavor without added fat
- Tender, crisp vegetables with intact fiber
- Cheaper cuts of meat transformed into juicy perfection
I loved using my new Power Pressure Cooker XL™ and I can’t wait to see what other meals I create using this amazing product. If you’re looking for a new pressure cooker, or want to update your old one check out Power Pressure Cooker XL.
