So last night while browsing my inserts before heading to the Dollar Store to buy extra copies I noticed new wording on coupons in the Red Plum inserts. Check out the images below.
If you notice on the first image the coupon states ‘Coupon not valid with other coupons for same item’ This could mean one of two things. You can’t use a Buy One Get One manufacturer’s coupon and this coupon or maybe no stacking. Most of us who have seem Extreme Couponing has complained about how sometimes coupons are misused and it makes me wonder if companies are starting to see this trend as well.
The second image eve has the words in bold lettering and on the bottom it states that this offer cannot be combined with any one coupon, I guess to make certain that the cashier adheres to the coupon wording. Both coupons states that the coupon can’t exceed the value of the item and it makes me wonder how much trouble people are going to have using coupons moving forward. I already know some stores won’t let you use the coupon if its more than the item and Walmart would let you apply it to your total or some stores adjusts the coupon value down so you can use it. Needless to say when ever new words show up on coupons it always makes from interesting couponing. I just hope that other companies doesn’t follow suit and start with the same rules but on the other hand I do understand that this can also help with coupon misuse.
What are your thoughts on the new wording?
Happy Couponing.
