The Natural Alternative to Treat Lice from Fairy Tales
School started for us yesterday and I’m already thinking of ways to make the year as smooth as possible. There are so many things that you need to prepare for when it comes to the kids going off to school, but I think the one we only think about the least is probably one of the most important ones to prepare for. I was provided a Fairy Tales Lice Good-Bye Survival Kit in exchange for this post. Any opinions expressed are my own.
Maybe you think that your don’t have to worry about lice after all none of your kids has even had to deal with lice in the past. Or it could be you just don’t want to deal with nasty chemicals and harsh smelling products unless you really have to. Well either way I want to say that the best method of dealing with lice is always to be prepared. Fairy Tales has been naturally caring for families since 1999, they created a pesticide-free live removal kit to make the process easy and seamless for parents.
What are Lice? Lick are parasites that live on the scalp and they feed on human blood. Nits are lice eggs that can be found on the hair about a 1/4 to a 1/2 an inch from the scalp. Lice are grayish, brown in color and the size of a sesame seed. Nits are tiny yellowish, brown oval sacs the size of a pin point, attached at the hair shaft. Anyone can get head lice but it’s most common in elementary age children. It is spread predominantly through head to head contact. Some of the warning signs include itchiness on head and scalp as well as tiny red bumps on neck, shoulders or scalp.
Here’s the Facts of Lice according to Fairy Tales
So for whatever reason you are now faced with getting rid of lice. Don’t feel discouraged or overwhelmed. If you haven’t already head out to a store and purchase your Fairy Tales Lice Good-Bye Survival Kit. If you have multiple children and they shared any spaces or things that involved their heads, then I would suggest getting multiple kits. When you return home it’s time to start cleaning. You need to make sure you get all the places your kids rest their heads recently. EVERYWHERE! Vacuum around and under beds, couches, in the car if you have fabric seats, car seats, clean it all. Immediately wash all their towels, sheets, blankets, pillowcases in hot water. If they have been using brushes and hair accessories you should probably replace them but at least wash them in hot water if you don’t want to replace them.
Now it’s time to start the three-step process to treat, remove and prevent head lice with Fairy Tales Lice Good-Bye Survival Kit.
Step One: Treat
Apply the Fairy Tales Lice Good-Bye Natural Lice Treatment to damp, detangled hair. Pump 4-6 “puffs” of Lice Good-Bye into your hands and apply to hair. Use as much as needed to ensure full coverage. Focus saturation at the top of the head, behind the ears and nape of the neck. Cover your child’s eyes with a washcloth during application. Work foam throughout hair and scalp with a firm massaging motion to help loosen the nit “glue”. Let sit for 15-30 minutes. Do not rinse.
Step Two: Remove
Divide hair down the center. Take paper-thin layers and comb through with the Terminator Nit Free Comb, always starting at the scalp. Skim the comb gently along the scalp and be sure to pull through from root to end. Continue taking small sections and move down the head. To ease combing, rewet hair with Rosemary Repel Conditioning Spray. Comb each section from above, below, and each side, as nits can attach to any side of the hair.
Keep paper towels or wipes on hand, and wipe reside from comb after each pass. Deposit towels/wipes into Ziploc to contain live bugs. Rinse comb in hot water as needed. Comb through each section multiple times. Continue until you have completed the entire head and see no further evidence of lice or nits. Rinse hair with warm water.
Re-check hair thoroughly. Focus combing at the top of the head and at the part line. A second treatment can be done immediately. You do not need to wait in between treatments, Live Good-Bye is a natural solution
Check daily for one week after for an outbreak. Be sure to treat all family members and any children in close contact. A weekly head check is the best way to prevent infestation.
Step Three: Prevent
