About the Modern Life Study Bible:
As members of the modern age, we sometimes feel disconnected from the world of the Bible. But if we look closely, we can see that although cultures change, our basic challenges stay the same. We still struggle with issues like community, justice, economic stress, political tensions, and cultural and ethnic differences. We still wonder who God is, how to discern His will, and how we fit into His plan.
Using historical context and fresh insights backed by biblical scholars, The Modern Life Study Bible explores the timeless truths that connect the people and stories of the Bible to the opportunities and demands we face today. God is at work in our world, inviting us to experience His presence.
With innovative, full-color illustrations, maps, and diagrams, along with special information on occupations of the Bible, profiles of people and places, theme indexes, and inspirational biographies of believers who put their faith to work, The Modern Life Study Bible will draw you in, helping you to know and embrace what it means to follow Christ in today’s world.

My thoughts:
This is a full color bible with lots of great illustrations. It’s a big bible and that’s because of all the information it has including the full text of the bible. This particular bible has lots of features that I really enjoyed. The book introductions gave information about the author’s of the books, dates, events and major themes of the book. I also loved the person profiles. The person profiles game the meaning of names and summaries of what the bible tells us about that person. It also features life studies which are one page biographies of followers of Christ from many different walks of life. I really liked that concept and learning about other followers of Christ and some of the challenges they face when it came to faith. The bible is a great resource for adding to your library and it would make a great gift bible as well. I would say it would be great for Theology students and people who may already have an everyday bible, this would be a great addition or replacement bible. Who ever gets this bible will love opening it up and discovering the new aspects of the bible. You can see a preview of the bible below.
