Make Your Own Lip Products with Kiss Naturals

I’ve actually never thought about creating my own lip products but my daughter started looking at videos on Youtube and some how she ended up looking at a bunch of DIY personal care products videos.  I’m not sure why she wants to make her own products but she really wanted to create her own lip gloss.

When my daughter started asking me about making her own lip products, I didn’t know where to start.  One of the videos she showed me they used crayons to create color for their lip gloss and lip balm.  I knew they took out all the toxins out of crayons but I would have never thought about using them for create lip gloss or anything like that.  Usually I would just buy my own lip products.  My daughter though loves having lots of different lip products so she was intrigued with creating something of her own.  After looking up the products they used in the Youtube video I wanted to find something easier and less intimidating for us to try for the first time.  Searching the web I found Kiss Naturals – a Canadian company that creates fun, one of a kids, all natural craft kits.

I received the Kiss Naturals Large Lip Balm Kit and the Kiss Naturals Large Lava Lip Gloss Kit for inclusion in my holiday gift guide.  They were perfect gifts for my daughter because she already showed interest in making her own lip products.  My kit arrived fast in the mail and were in easy to open packaging.  I decided to put them in a metal tin purse so all her items would be in one place once she used it.  This was perfect for her because she got to make her own lip gloss and I didn’t have to hunt down products all over to make anything.  Both kids included bottles of Safflower Oil for mixing, they also both included the flavors of Bubble Gum and Boysenberry for flavoring in the lip gloss and lip balm.    The lip balm kit also includes shea butter and the lip gloss kit includes Castor Oil.  The large kit contains enough products to make 6 lip glosses or lip balms.  Both kits come with a measuring cup to mix the lip gloss and lip balm while making them.
