I honestly could spend hours and hours sharing with you about all the different features this product has and why it’s a great investment for your family but I’ll try to keep it short and to the point.  If you have a child between the ages of four and eight then I highly suggest that you add this to your holiday shopping list now.  You won’t regret it at all.  Even my two year old toddler loves playing with the LeapReader.  It’s a great way to get your child started with learning and ready for school.  Plus the price for the starter kit is great.  The kit that comes with the LeapReader, a sampler book, an activity sheet and one audio book bundle for $49.99, you can purchase it in stores or online from LeapFrog.  My five year old son really liked the Monsters University book.  He spent hours listening to the story and playing activities.

I think my daughter had the most fun with the LeapReader.  The kids school is currently doing a fundraiser and as a bonus incentive any child who made a donation could bring in a game from home to use in the class.  The school made lots of security changes and this year they banned classroom parties for several reasons so we couldn’t hold a class party.  My daughter however took the LeapReader and a few books as her game that afternoon.  When she came home she said all her friends wanted to know about the reader and how it worked.  She showed them the different activities and she even found some features that I didn’t before.  When she got home that afternoon she spent all afternoon listening to songs from the music library.
