Leap Frog Paper Products from MEGA Brands

I know you are probably very familiar with the Leap Frog line of electronic products.  The Leap Pad has been all the rage over the last few years.  You may however not be familiar with the line of paper products created by MEGA Brands that features the Leap Frog characters.  MEGA Brands is know for their MEGA Blocks and Rose Art lines and two years ago they partnered with Leap Frog to create the affordable paper based products for Leap Frog.  As a member of Mosaics Reviews I was selected to review some products in the Pre-K readiness line.  I was super excited to get them and give them a try.  Since my kids already use Leap Frog products I though they would just fall in love with these products.

We received several different items in our kit to use and as soon as the kids saw the items in the box they were ready to play and jump right in.  The items included in our box include:

Both of these are Dry Erase products so my kids can use them over and over again.  The first activity set came with a marker attached to the book.  They loved that they could write on it and just wipe it clean with a tissue and it made it easy for both kids to use the books instead of just one.

The flash cards were very bright and included both upper and lower case letter with photos on them to not only help your child learn the alphabet but also associate words with each letter.

The kids actually thought the grips were erasers.  We are still using the fatter pencils with both kids so we just put them on some pencils but they didn’t get a good grip yet.  I think as the school year goes on and they start to use the #2 pencils they will get better with the grip.

The workbook pretty much helps kids with the things they will learn in Kindergarten.  It has sixty activity pages and sixty reward stickers.  The kids practiced patterns, colors, shapes, numbers and counting, letters and much more.  My son is mainly using this book since he’ll be in Kindergarten in the fall.  He’ll be using it all through out the year.

The charts are a great way to encourage your kids in lots of different areas besides just school work.  It can be used for chores, activities, potty training, it’s pretty much up to you.  Your kids will love earning their stamps on each day and meeting their goals.

We haven’t spent much time using the Creative Journal because it’s aimed at grades 2-3, my daughter however will probably use it as a drawing journal during the school year.  It’s also a great way to practice writing .

All the Leap Frog paper products are available for purchase from Target, Walmart, Joann’s, Micheals, Office Max, Toys R Us and Costco.  When shopping for them in target and Walmart search for them in the stationary, writing or crafts section of the store and not in the toy or school supplies section.  They can also be purchased online from Amazon.  These items are very affordable with prices starting at just $0.99 and go up to $24.99 for sets.  They can be used for practicing, homeschooling, party favors, gifts and all for fun.
