Jack and the Cuckoo Clock Heart DVD Review
When I was asked about reviewing Jack and the Cuckoo Clock Heart I was ecstatic, after all they mentioned Corpse Bride and I was immediately intrigued. I couldn’t wait for the movie to arrive and when it did I opened it up that same day to view it. I received a copy of Jack and the Cuckoo Clock Heart DVD for review. Any and all opinions are my own.
I honestly have to say that I really enjoyed this movie. I loved it until the end. I didn’t like the way it ended at all. That’s just my personal preference but the whole movie was a very touching love story. Even from the start we are first introduced to Jack’s mom trying to find shelter in a storm. She finds a women’s house and seeks shelter before going into labor. The lady delivers the baby and he’s born with a frozen heart. She replaces it with a Cuckoo Clock and then gives his mother a list of instructions. That night Jack’s mom leaves him in the care of the women feeling she’s be a much better mother to him. Even from the start you can see examples of love in this movie. Jack grew up in a home with some odd characters and a trip into town ended up with him meeting a beautiful girl. He ends up falling in love with her and goes on a very long journey, eventually leaving home and joining a carnival to find her. It’s a magical movie that shows how beautiful love is and one the whole family will enjoy. It’s the perfect Halloween movie or for any movie night. Everyone will love it.
