I will admit I don’t like scary things.  I don’t watch scary movies and I don’t like being scared.  I just don’t, however I know it’s that time of year where scare junkies are looking for something scary and fun to get into and if that’s you and you like being scared and you don’t mind a good scream then you have to check out Field of Screams in Mountville, PA.

When it comes to terrifying thrills and spine-tingling chills Field of Screams in Lancaster, PA gives you more than you can handle. One visit to this world renowned Halloween Horror Fest and you will quickly learn why the horrifying Haunted Houses, Haunted Hayride, and Haunted Trail earn Field of Screams the title of America’s #1 Haunted Attraction. Four world-class attractions at Field of Screams are sure to please by delivering non-stop heart-pounding action that will leave you begging for the end to be near.

If you’ve been to Field of Screams before then you should know that this year they have made some changes to make the attraction even more scary and entertaining for their visitors.  Some of their improvements this year includes:

NEW Serpent Falls Attraction on the Field of Screams Hayride 

A little past the mid-way point on the FIeld of Screams Hayride, a massive addition was constructed in the form of the Serpent Falls Greenhouse. This dilapidated building was once home to a thriving yet experimental greenhouse and has since be overtaken by snakes. You will become trapped inside of this snake infested greenhouse and be attacked by a gigantic snake as well as dozens of other snakes of all sizes. You may even feel something crawling through the wagon.

NEW Suffocation Chamber on the Field of Screams Hayride

The Psycho Circus has been upgraded on the Field of Screams Haunted Hayride to include an effect never performed before on any Hayride in the Country. Their custom built suffocation chamber will be sure to leave you gasping for air!!

Many NEW Improvements and Additions throughout the Nocturnal Wasteland Haunted Trail

After its inaugural season, the scenes and scares along the woods of the Nocturnal Wasteland have undergone extensive improvements and upgrades. Dozens of new scares, and hundreds of hours of work have been poured into creating additional scenes and amazing effects. Most notably, the Tesla Coil has been moved to the Nocturnal Wasteland and patrons will be forced to walk directly around the lethal arcs of electricity.New characters have been added as well such as Carver, the Circular Saw weilding maniac! The scare factor has been raised and the terror level will be through the roof.

Our New and Improved Entertainment Area

Theming Galore!! – The “commons” area always continues to go through vast theming upgrades. Once you enter onto the Field of Screams property you immediately become immersed in the Field of Screams experience. Custom themed games abound along with our NEW Green Screen Souvenir Photo Spot.

Additional Weekend of Scares • They have extended the season for the second time and now will be open for 9 weekends from Sept 12th – Nov 9th with our Zombie Fun Run being held on Nov 15th.

Frightmare Asylum and Den of Darkness • You will experience the perils found in Dr. Mal Practice’s new Dental Wing of the Frightmare Asylum.  The temperature and your pulse will rise as you become trapped in the Boiler Room of the Den of Darkness.

Back by overwhelming popularity is our 2nd Annual Zombie Fun Run Event being held to benefit the Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition.  NEW for 2014 is a Night Wave where you can run the course in complete darkness!   Being held on November 15th, 2014, this 5K course in open to runners of all ages. You will given 3 lives at the beginning of the course and the goal will be to end the race with at least one life remaining. NEW FOR 2014 is a Green Screen Photo Booth for you to take home a lasting memory of your scary time at FIeld of Screams. Photos come printed with a custom Field of Screams border.

TOXIC HEAD TOSS GAME Test your skills. Toss the toxic head into the toxic waste barrel and win an FOS logo basketball!

BOTTLE BREAK GAME Try your luck at breaking the wall of bottles at the Field of Screams Bottle Break. Those who succeed will win a custom embroidered FOS bear.

FOOTBALL THROW GAME Prove your accuracy by throwing a football through our custom made zombie targets. If you succeed you will win our new Field of Screams branded Football!

RING TOSS GAME A crowd favorite, our Custom Halloween Themed Ring Toss Game is truly one-of-a-kind. Test your luck as you try to land a ring around the neck of a bottle in this classic game of chance and skill.

BALL BOUNCE GAME One of our newer custom built game is the Ball Bounce Game. To be a winner, you must success- fully bounce a ball up over the foul line and into the designated target. Determination is the key!

PRIZE CANNON High atop the Hayride Entrance Barn is where the Field of Screams Prize Cannon is stationed. All evening long the prize cannon will randomly shoot out Field of Screams prizes as well as prizes from our sponsors down into the crowd below.

SCARE BOOTH The Scare Booth is an arcade style game that allows you to view and control an exploding out- house scare located nearby in the Entertainment Area. As unsuspecting guests pass by the out- house, you activate the scare which blasts water out the door sending your victim screaming away – all while you stand there and watch! This is a definite crowd favorite!

BIG SCREEN MOVIES NEW FOR 2014 our movies screens will be interactive and be able to feature live tweets from our patrons. While in the Field of Screams Entertainment Area our two huge movie screens will entertain you with footage of Field of Screams being featured on the Travel Channel as one of America’s Scariest Haunted Attractions and challenge you with FOS trivia questions. You will also get to see intriguing behind the scenes footage as well as scenes from some of our favorite horror movies. There are also two screens in the Hayride queue lines.

ENTERTAINMENT SIDE STAGES Four additional smaller size entertainment stages are located in various areas throughout the entertainment area. On select evenings, you will find additional entertainment on these stages such as side shows, magic acts, juggling shows, radio station personalities, contests, com- petitions, acoustical performances, and more.

VIP TOWERS Centrally located in the Entertainment Area are additional VIP Towers where you may instantly upgrade your ticket to VIP Status. This means that if you do not want to wait in the queue lines you may pay $10 more in Sept & Nov, $15 more on Fri & Sun in Oct, and $20 on Saturdays in Oct and move to the very front of each queue line. This one time fee is good for all 4 attractions.

FOOD Over 50 varieties of food and beverages from one of our licensed and professional food vendor’s 6 concession trailers.
