My kids are starting to get older and starting to have their own opinions about life, what they enjoy and their own lives in general. Our oldest has been asking about having her own cell phone for a while now and we’ve been looking at cell phone plans that would work for her and for our budget. I’ve used Walmart Family Mobile in the past so we headed out to Walmart to check out some of the phones available for purchase, and I was surprised by the nice selection of phones and the pricing options of the service.
The last time we used Walmart Family Mobile is was about two years or more ago, so I was surprised at the variety of phones and plans they were currently offering. The best plan option gives customers the opportunity to have more data, to check on emails, check on their social media profiles, stream video and so much more. The Walmart Family Mobile Plus plan costs $49.88 a month per line, and includes unlimited talk, text and data (which includes up to 10 GB of 4G LTE speed). That’s the perfect plan for our daughter, she can stream all the DIY videos she wants, while having a phone for emergencies, and when she’s ready to start texting she can do that as well. Plus as a added bonus of the plus plan, you receive a free movie (new release rental with a $7 value) every month on VUDU. Yes I said free and every month.
Walmart Family Mobile lets you bring your own phone or you can purchase one of theirs for your new plan. While in the store we saw quite a few phones on rollback including:

We ended up grabbing the Samsung Galaxy Core Prime $79.92 on rollback from $99.92, it’s the perfect size for our daughter, offers great features, perfect for streaming videos, taking photos, and filming videos as well. I had her pick her own phone since she’s the one that would be using it the most. If you’re bringing your own phone or purchasing a new one, you need the Family Mobile Starter Kit, and for the first time ever the starter kit is also on rollback for $19.88, from $25.oo.
Our free movie came in handy for coming together for a family movie night every month. We are taking one Saturday night to connect as a family. VUDU offers a nice selections of movies, including family favorites and recent releases. You can stream on different devices and we are planning to take advantage of that option.
Our smart television makes it possible to stream our free VUDU rental with easy, no more rushing out to find one to rent, and we get to pick from some of the newest releases out on the market. VUDU makes it easy for us to choose family movies since they are all grouped together to or my husband and I can choose a movie for us to enjoy when the kids are sleeping.
