The cookbook works for men who have buddies over on game day, host pool parties, cook for their wives and kids. Designed to guide men through a variety of social occasions, with recipes that can be prepared in advance to spend more time with guests. My thoughts:The book is set up in two parts. It was part cookbook and part how to guide. I really enjoyed the book. I learned quite a few tips in the how to part of the book. I know that my kitchen is missing some tools. I learned about how to entertain and remain stress free, who can’t use tips to help keep the stress levels down when you are entertaining guests. I especially liked how the book is broken down into party themes. The first one in the book is a Scotch Tasting Affair, I don’t drink a lot so I probably wouldn’t host something like this but it has recipes to make if you were having an event like this. The recipes in the wine and cheese party was more up my alley. There is one for a balsamic chocolate truffle that I know I am going try soon. There’s also a great section for cooking with kids. The book even have shopping lists printed in the back you can make copies of it over and over so you don’t miss out on anything when you are shopping. It’s a great book to gift to a man in your life that likes to cook.
