Easy Friendsgiving Recipes in Honor of Christoper Robin

November 14, 2018 By Nickida

Last week I shared about the in-home release for Disney’s Christoper Robin, along with some photos of a fun basket they sent me to celebrate Friendsgiving. With Thanksgiving a little over a week away I wanted to share some great recipes you can make for both friends and family.

Healthy Honey Recipes

Grilled Fruit Kebabs with Honey Lime Yogurt Dip
Rajah’s Honey-Roasted Tiger Tails
Healthy Peanut Butter Crispy Rice Treats

Peach Mango Smoothie

  • Ingredients:
    • 2 cup frozen mango
    • 2 cup frozen peaches
    • 2 cups plain yogurt
    • 1 1/2 cups orange juice
    • 3 TBSP of honey
  • Place ingredients in a blender, starting with yogurt, then honey, frozen fruit, and then juice. Blend until smooth. You can add more liquid for thinner smoothie or ice to make it a thicker smoothie.

Honey BBQ Oven Baked Ribs

Although it’s getting too cold in my neck of the woods to get out our smoker. We still enjoy BBQ year round with our oven. I love throwing ribs in the oven for an extra special Saturday night dinner option.

You start by seasoning the ribs and baking them low and slow in the oven. I usually put them on 300 degrees for about four to five hours. I like to make sure they are fork tender and falling off the bone.

The first part of the cooking process I cover the ribs in foil. After the first part of the process, I slather the ribs in BBQ sauce. You can use any sauce you want either store brought or create your own. I raise the temperature to 425 degrees and put them back in for thirty minutes. It allows to sauce to create a nice bark on the ribs. Giving it a grilled appeal.

Once the thirty minutes is up, baste the ribs with some honey and put back in the oven for 10 minutes to caramelize over the ribs.
