Barefoot Refresh Wine Review

Barefoot Refresh Wine Review

barefoot refresh

It’s a holiday weekend and it’s you’re probably making all kinds of plans for drink options for the adults celebrating with you and I wanted to share my thoughts and recommend the Barefoot Refresh wines for this holiday weekend an any other day you are looking for a nice drink.  A few months ago I got the opportunity to try two bottles from the Barefoot Refresh line the Crisp White and the Perfectly Pink and I would like to share my thoughts with you about them and why I think they would make great choices for just about any occasion.

 Winemaking Notes:

Varietal Content: White Grenache blended with Chenin Blanc and Moscato

Alcohol Level: 9.0%

Residual Sugar: 7.5%

Pricing: Barefoot Refresh Perfectly Pink is attractively priced at $8 for a 750-ml bottle.

My thoughts:

I hosted a small wine tasting with my mom, sisters and sister-in-law to try the wine I had received to review.  I couldn’t wait to try the these wines because they are slightly carbonated.  I chilled them in the freezer for about an hour or two and they were perfect.  You can also serve over ice if you prefer it that way but I would only recommend serving over ice if you are going to drink it before the ice starts to melt.  You don’t want you drink to get watered down.  I loved the Perfectly Pink, it was just the right amount of sweetness and it went perfectly with our fruit and cheese platter.  It would also work on its own and you can pair it with your favorite meal.  My mom and sister-in-law really enjoyed this bottle as well.  They both have already purchased it a few times since the wine tasting.  We all give it two thumbs up.

Tasting Notes: Barefoot Refresh Crisp White is vibrant and light-bodied, with fresh aromas of pear and melon and a lemon-lime finish. Serve chilled or over ice.

Winemaking Notes:

Varietal Content: Chenin Blanc blended with Riesling

Alcohol Level: 9.0%

Residual Sugar: 3.3%

Pricing: Barefoot Refresh Crisp White is attractively priced at $8 for a 750-ml bottle.

My thoughts:

We opened the Barefoot Refresh Crisp White after we drank the bottle of the Perfectly Pink.  My sisters loved this wine the best.  They felt it was great with the dinner I served that night.  They both prefer wines that are not that sweet so they really enjoyed their bottle.  I also chilled this for about two hours before serving and it was perfect.   The light carbonation was just right and I would suggest using this to make your next pitcher of Sangria or something like that for a girls night.  I would also try it with some orange juice for Sunday Brunch.  With graduations and summer picnics happening all over its the perfect bottle to give as a hostess gift.

If you’re just getting into wines or you’ve tried it in the past and didn’t like it for whatever reason, these are great introductions to wine drinking.  They both work great for everyday functions and can also be served at your elegant functions as well.  With five different options you are sure to please everyone’s taste.  So this holiday weekend pick up a few bottles of Barefoot Refresh and serve chilled, over ice or in your favorite cocktail.
