Abrupt Design Custom T-Shirts For Special Events
About two weeks ago I was in LA for the #CaptainAmericaEvent, from the time the invite arrived I knew I wanted to find a good shirt to wear for our interviews with the talent from the movie. This trip was different because we had to pick sides, you were either on #TeamIronMan or #TeamCap. I ended up on #TeamIronMan and the hunt ti find the perfect t-shirt was under way. After continuous searching my blogger buddy Cori over at Cori’s Cozy Corner found the perfect Etsy shop with tons of different designs. We browsed and found a wall decal that would work for the shirt.
Disclosure: I was provided a custom designed t-shirt in exchange for an honest review. Any opinions expressed are my own.
When we received news we needed a shirt to represent our side, Cori jumped in and took the ball with handling all the details with Abrupt Design owner Shawn Brown. Our first step was finding out if the wall decal we found could be scaled down to fit on the t-shirts we wanted. After a quick exchange of emails we got word that he could indeed put that design on our t-shirt for us. Once other bloggers in our group saw the design we picked some of them also wanted a shirt created for them. Next was getting that design for both #TeamIronMan and #TeamCap.
Shawn gave us so many different options when it came to picking a shirt we would love. First we had the option of picking either a black or grey t-shirt. Ink color choices included both black and white for both teams, and red for Iron Man and blue for Captain America. I couldn’t decide what I wanted on my shirt.
After changing my mind a couple of times I ended up with a black t-shirt with white ink color for the font. When it arrived I loved it. In addition to scaling the decal down to work on our shirts, Shawn was able to include the custom hashtags for our event. This was great for us because we could show our team support in different ways. Also included on the shirts was our individual twitter handles. I didn’t take a photograph of the back of my shirt.
The fit of the shirt was great for me. It wasn’t over-sized or so tight that it was hugging my body. I really liked that about the shirt. Also when the shirt was washed my design was still in tact, the color of the shirt didn’t fade and lose it’s color. Our group loved their shirts. Some wore them the day we screened the movie at the theater and others during our interviews with talent from the film. Check out some of those awesome photographs of us in our shirts.
As you can see from the photos we all had on different shirts and we all picked different designs and a few of us wore our shirts during our interviews because we loved them so much.
