Heather, The Scared Tooth Fairy Book Review

My daughter recently lost another tooth and since I didn’t have change the tooth fairy dropped off ten bucks.  She was so excited.  I didn’t know if or how I would do the whole tooth fairy thing with my kids since we don’t do Santa.  Thank goodness for Tinkerbell and those fairies for great ideas that I could use to tell my kids about the Tooth Fairy.  I’ve had to come up with some creative letters for teeth that fell out.  I recently had the opportunity to review a book by a mother and daughter called Heather, The Scared Tooth Fairy.

I really liked this book.  It was so cute because of the drawings that they used for the books.  The drawings are Jasmin’s and they make the book much more special and personal to kids in my opinion.  The story is about Heather and her first day of fairy flight school.  She’s nervous about the new teacher and is down about going to school.  Her mom held her and talked to her about calming down and giving the new teacher a try.  Once she got to school she found that other fairies were also scared about flight school and she found a way to cheer them all up.  They were having so much fun with Heather when their new teacher arrived they were ready to learn and had lots of fun with her.  The story helps kids with nerves and learning about giving something new a try.  The book is short and perfect for young readers who are in the phase of loosing teeth.  My daughter loved the book.  She has read it a few times and she even drew some of her own fairies based on the ones in the book.  The author’s also has some activity and coloring sheets on their sites for readers.
