Be Prepared With The Reservoir

We take lots of things in life for granted and we don’t even realize it until it’s gone, which is often to late.  I was born in Trinidad and lived there for the first fourteen years of my life.  One thing that I can say that I have had to do was live without running water in our home.  Despite have many modern conveniences out house lacked indoor plumbing, thus making it impossible for us to have running water.  We lived in the country and even if you did have plumbing in your home the water company decides when they would turn the water on or turn it off in our area.  To survive you need water and all the people in our area had to buy water storage tanks.  Some people who couldn’t afford tanks used steel drums.  The problem with water storage is that if it’s not properly stored it can become contaminated and bad to consume.  Some of neighbors would get small frogs in their steel drums or tanks if they weren’t covered properly.  People also had problems with dust and mosquito lava in their water supplies.  I can honestly say that today I take running water for granted.  Since moving to the US I have to admit I haven’t though about every having to go without water even in weather disasters and that’s a huge problem.

The Reservoir Emergency Water Storage System is something that I recommend for every house hold for numerous reasons.  The first time I had seen one was watching the TV Show – Doomsday Preppers.  I am not a prepper, and I don’t know if I will ever become one but I am a firm believer that you should keep certain supplies in stock.  We’ve all been there during inclement weather warnings and you head out to grab water and batteries but when you get to the store all the shelves are bare.  If you have space preparing for emergencies is a must and should never be done at the last minute.  The Reservoir holds up to 100 gallons of water, enough water for at least three days depending on your consumption.  The plastic liner can be used in a tub or a sanitary storage tank.

You can fill this system in a tub easily or if you have a storage tank you can fill it directly in the storage tank.  It keeps your water supply clean and safe.  The plastic is food-safe and meets FDA standards.  To get water out of The Reservoir, a siphon pump is included.  Give the bulb a few squeezes to get it started and the water will flow automatically until you open the vent cap.  The siphon tube fits into any bottle, jug, teakettle or other container opening.  Just fill and go!

This product is a great one to have just in case.  It can be used in cases of hurricanes, snow storms, or other situations that could cause your water supply to cut off or unusable.  If it’s possible I would recommend using it in the storage tank so you have water on hand in case of any emergency.  If you don’t have space to fill it immediately fill it when you start getting notices of storm warnings, so if you need it you have it and if you don’t you can drain the water.  Please note that draining it does take a little bit of time to empty.  So if you’re looking for items to get started with preparing for emergencies and disaster be sure to pick The Reservoir up and add it to your collection or start with getting it as your first step to being prepared.
